November 3 Central Alabama Fall Invite Scout Analysis: Pitcher Only's

There were a total of eleven pitchers that pitched in the game play part of the event. Only two pitchers showed up to pitch only. The other nine pitchers also played a position and their pitching analysis will be included in their positional write up. Today let's look at the two pitcher only's:

Braydon Harvin (2021, RHP/3B, Houston Academy) Showed a nice effortless delivery that he was able to repeat pitch after pitch. The FB was up to 82 mph with late life with movement to the arm side. The breaking ball showed slider action at 72-74 mph with nice shape. The change up was a good pitch, showing nice vertical movement which resulted in soft ground balls at 70-72 mph. Harvin is an intriguing ‘21 arm to follow that shows a very solid 3 pitch mix on the mound.

Seth McConnell (2021, LHP, Smiths Station) Left hander that worked from a mid ¾ slot with plus ASR on the FB that was up to 76 mph. The delivery was clean and the breaking ball showed nice late depth and he showed the ability to mix the pitch in for a strike in any count at 66-69 mph. The breaking ball seemed to be his best pitch. He forced a lot of ground balls off of the breaking ball during his two innings of work. The breaking ball plays well off of the FB.

Tomorrow we will take a look at the catchers that were at the event.
