Patriot High School outfielder Ryan Sanders has committed to attend Limestone University in the fall of 2016. Sanders is the sixth member of the Pioneers’ deep Class of 2016 to commit to play baseball in college. The Pioneers are coming off of a strong season that saw them finish first in the Cedar Run Conference during the regular season before getting upset in the Conference Championship Game by Osbourn Park and the first round of the 6A Northern Region tournament by Centreville. The Pioneers lost some key players to graduation but have a deep team coming back as they look to make a deeper run into the playoffs in 2016.

At the Pre-Season All-State Showcase in February, Sanders hit from an open stance that was balanced. His hands dropped and barred as he loaded. He had a short stride with a slight leg kick that stayed on line and was balanced. He recorded an Exit Velocity of 80 mph off of the tee. From the outfield, Sanders threw from a high three-quarters arm slot and had a Positional Velocity of 77 mph. His throws had some accuracy and his exchanges were clean.
