After scouting all of our fall and winter events and fall baseball here in the Sooner State it is time to take another look at and updated the 2019 class rankings. Since our last rendition, there has been a few players who have taken a big step forward to rise in the rankings. There have also been a few new athletes burst onto the scene in a big way, two of whom join the list in the top 50.  The rankings now features 220 of the top 2019 players in the state. Below, check out some of the top prospects, risers, and newcomers.

See full list HERE.

Top 3

SS/RHP Bryce Osmond (Jenks HS) as highly projectable 6-foot-3, 175-pound frame with elite athleticism that makes him a legitimate top 10 round draft pick on both sides of the ball. The Oklahoma State recruit ended the summer on a high note at the area code games and has pick up in the early spring right where he left off. On the mound, the right-hander has already dialed it up to 90-92 early this spring with more in the tank. The right-hander also features a low 80s slider that is a near plus pitch. Defensively, Osmond shows off the same high end arm strength with advanced speed, athleticism, and smooth defensive actions. Osmond will certainly have a decision to make between going to be a two-way standout for the Cowboys or moving on to professional baseball come the draft.

RHP Kale Davis (Westmoore HS), another Oklahoma State commit, sticks in the number two slot on the list. The 6-foot-4, 210-pound muscular right-hander continues to prove himself as one of the most polished pitchers in the country. Davis commands four pitches to both sides of the plate, including a high spin rate fastball that sits 89-91 mph and touches 92. After putting down the ball for an extended period of time before this spring, he velo has been below what we are used to seeing, but will likely come back with more pitches under his belt and warmer weather. He also features an above average curveball that he confidently throws in most counts. He also mixes in an above average changeup and slider that he throws with full arm speed as well. Davis will most likely be a weapon immediately for the Cowboys if he makes it to campus.

3B/OF Blake Robertson (Edmond Santa Fe), yet another Cowboy commit, has always had a technically sound and efficient swing, but has recently added big pop to all fields. The long 6-foot-5, 200-pound left-handed hitter was the definite offensive stand out at this years national Super 60 procase with a short swing that consistently finds barrel with pop. He is making a strong case to have his name added to most scout’s and crosschecker’s shortlists of players to see this spring . Robertson is also an advanced runner (6.75 laser timed) with strength and an above average arm (88 mph across the diamond), giving him some versatility defensively.

The Risers

During the fall and winter, a number of prospects have shown they deserved to move up in the rankings. While many made a jump, a few in particular took their game to the next level.

Sam Replogle, NOAH Home School, SS
The Connors State commit has put on considerable size and strength since we have seen him last, now standing 6-foot, 180-pound frame showing advanced barrel control and arm strength across the diamond (87 mph). There have also been reports of Replogle sitting in the mid and touching upper 80s on the mound.

Dylan Turner, LHP, Silo HS
Showing high end command and deception at his last few events and during a fall state championship run, the NOC Enid commit has made a big jump in the rankings. The 6-foot-4, 190-pound left hander left-hander features a fastball that shows consistent run and sink at 81-84 mph to go along with an advanced changup and sharp slider.

Kyle Duffey, RHP, Norman HS
Duffey has a long and lean 6-foot-5, 175-pound frame that oozes projectability. Duffey makes a big jump in the rankings as he shows more strikes in the zone at 81-85 mph. Duffey will likely continue to put on velo as he adds size and strength to his frame.

Notable Newcomers

Previously under the radar, a few players have popped up in a big way. Below are a few of the notables.

David Sandlin, RHP, Owasso HS
The Eastern Oklahoma State commit has a long and projectable 6-foot-4, 195-pound frame that has room to add size and strength. The right-hander fills up the zone with three pitches, featuring a fastball with some cut at 85-87 mph. He also shows an advanced breaking ball at 72-75 mph and a solid changeup for strikes at 81-82 mph.

Eli Riggs, RHP, Stillwater HS
The Hutchinson CC commit has a durable and strong 5-foot-11, 195-pound frame. The right-hander features a fastball ball that sits 85-88 mph and is commanded in the zone. Riggs also commands an advanced slider with late depth at 75-77 mph.

Jared Rogers, RHP, Dale HS
Rogers has a very lean and projectable 6-foot-3, 170-pound fame. The right-hander posses a long and clean arm action that produces a fastball with late life at 84-87 mph with much more in the tank. Rogers also shows a developing curveball and changeup.
