Alex Simpson, RHP/INF, Dublin Coffman HS, 2016

6-foot-2, 170 pounds with a solid projectable frame for the mound.  In the field, he displays average hands and footwork.  Showed consistency with accurate throws across the diamond.  Topped out at 71 mph across the infield.  At the plate, he uses a tall narrow stance with short stride.  Hands have a tendency to drop during load.  Level swing path.  Overall, a relaxed short swing that displays linedrive production.  On the mound, he throws from a near over the top arm slot with short arm action.  Average arm speed.  Easy effort throughout delivery.  Tendency to land open.  He showed good command of a straight 72-74  mph fastball.  He also occasionally mixed in a 66 mph breaking ball with 12/6 movement.

Alex Wright, RHP/SS, Logan Elm HS, 2016

5-foot-9, 130 pounds with a small athletic frame.  Potential two-way prospect.  Registered an impressive 4.1 home to first time.  Shows versatility as he plays in both the infield and outfield.  In the infield, he displayed a fairly quick transfer and used different arm slots.  In the outfield, he plays well through the ball allowing him to show good carry on his throws.  He topped out at 84 mph in the outfield, and 75 mph in the infield.  The switch hitter uses a straight on stance with short stride.  He looks more natural from the left hand side while using a short compact stroke.  Good balance while using uphill swing path.  The right side is still a work in progress as his hands tend to cast away from his body.  Overall contact type hitter with linedrive production.  Reached exit velocities of 76 mph from the left side, and 79 mph from the right side.  On the mound, the right hander throws from a 3/4 slot while using somewhat loose arm action.  Some effort in delivery.  Quick arm speed.  He showed solid command of the zone with a heavy fastball that sat between 81-85 mph.  He also used an 11/5 tilt curveball at 69-71 mph, which showed good late breaking action.

Austin Cline, RHP/3B, Ben Logan HS, 2015

5-foot-10, 170 pounds with a projectable strong frame.  Two-way prospect.  Clocked in a 5.17 home to first time.  At third base, he displays above average hands and improving footwork.  When playing the backhand, he offers some quickness in his transfer and release.  Topped out at 74 mph across the diamond.  At the plate, the right handed hitter starts with a balanced straight on stance and uses a small leg kick.  Short compact level swing with linedrive production.  Tends to cut off swing before getting full extension.  Reached a top exit velocity of 72 mph off the tee.  When the 2015 prospect takes the mound, he throws from a high 3/4 slot with short arm action.  Slow and relaxed delivery.  From time to time he landed open causing him to struggle finding a consistent arm slot.   His 77-79 mph fastball often stayed straight, but did show some cutting action on occasion.  He also offered a 64-66 mph curveball that showed some sharpness with 11/5 movement. 

Blaine Warhula, OF/LHP, Wayne HS, 2015

5-foot-8, 170 pound two way prospect.  Strong small frame.  In the outfield, he features a smooth transfer and quick release.  Displayed good carry on throws.  Topped out at 80 mph from the outfield.  The left handed hitter starts with a tall straight on stance and uses a toe tap stride.  Tends to be stiff with upper body throughout swing.  Hands are quick and stay inside the ball.  Showed some power in swing at times driving balls deep in the outfield.   Overall, a compact level swing with above average bat speed.  Reached a top exit velocity of 79 mph off the tee.  On the mound, the southpaw throws from a 3/4 arm slot with short arm action.  Slightly slow tempo.  Regular effort in delivery.  His 77-80 mph fastball showed some light arm side run.  He also offered two off-speed pitches.  The 62-63 mph breaking ball featured 11/5 movement, and above average depth.  He also mixed in a 72-74 mph changeup thrown at near fastball arm speed. 

Cameron Justice, OF, Dublin Coffman HS, 2016

5-foot-8, 150 pounds with a slim athletic frame.  Recorded a 4.56 home to first time.  In the outfield, he throws from a high 3/4 arm slot with short arm action.  Quick arm speed.  Features some quickness in footwork, and plays well through the ball.  Topped out at 75 mph from the outfield.  At the plate, the right handed hitter uses a balanced straight on stance with quick toe touch stride.  Level swing path with good extension through contact.  Linedrive type that will start to show power as he matures physically.  Reached a top exit velocity of 80 mph. 

Carson Glover, OF/LHP, Saint Charles Prep, 2016

6-0, 145 pounds with a slim athletic frame.  Registered a 4.58 home to first time.  Two-way prospect.  In the outfield, he displays softness in hands, and quickness in footwork.  Somewhat quick transfer.  Topped out at 77 mph from the outfield.  At the plate, he uses a straight on stance with a straight up and down small leg kick.  Tendency to wrap bat during load.  Displays a short compact swing focusing on contact.  Pull tendencies in swing.  Reached a top exit velocity of 69 mph.  On the mound, the southpaw throws from a 3/4 arm slot with somewhat long arm action.  Slow Tempo.  His fastball sat between 70-73 mph and showed slight cutting action at times.  He also offered a 58-59 mph breaking ball.

Chase Beam, RHP/1B, Highland HS, 2016

6-foot-1, 165 pounds with a projectable frame.  Two way player.  Ran a home to first time of 4.85 seconds.  In the field, he throws from a low 3/4 slot with short arm action.  At times showed some quickness in footwork.  Needs to improve on overall footwork.  Clean transfer.  At the plate, the right handed hitter uses a straight on stance with a short stride.  Overall a lot of moving part during swing.  Displays good weight transfer through contact.  Level bat path.  Also, showed some power in his bat from time to time.  Reached a top exit velocity of 76 mph.  On the mound, he throws from a low3/4 slot with short arm action.  Smooth rhythm.  Hides the ball well from hitters.  Tough to pick up out of hand.  His fastball sat between 73-74 mph and showed minimal arm side run.  He also mixed in a 65-67 mph breaking ball.  The curveball showed 10/4 tilt with gradual movement

Cole Gabriel, LHP, Upper Sandusky HS, 2016

6-foot-3, 242 pounds with a big build.  2016 left handed pitcher that offers a lot to like as long as he keeps physically maturing.  On the mound, he throws through a high 3/4 arm slot with short arm action.  Good tempo.  Hides ball from hitter.  Fastball shows good cutting action at 80-82 mph.  Offers two offspeed pitches.  The 1/7 tilt breaking ball sat at 73 mph, and showed gradual movement.  He also mixed in a 71 mph changeup thrown at near fastball arm speed.  Will continue to increase velocity as he fully engages his lower half.

Jordan Seich, C/2B, Olentangy Liberty HS, 2016

5-foot-9, 145 pounds with a slim athletic frame.  Registered a 4.79 home to first time.  Behind the plate, he throws from a 3/4 arm slot with short arm action.  Offers quickness in footwork and transfer.  Recorded pop times between 1.94-2.01.  Topped out at 74 mph behind the dish.  At the plate, he uses a straight on stance with short stride.  Smooth load.  Offers a smooth clean right handed stroke with an uphill bat path.  Displays pop to all parts of the field.  Reached a top exit velocity of 80 mph.  Interesting young talent. 

Josh Clark, SS/RHP, Zanesville HS, 2015

6-foot-1, 155 pounds with an athletic frame.  Two way prospect.  Ran a 4.57 home to first time.  In the field, he throws from a high 3/4 slot with short arm action.  Shows better actions playing towards his glove side.  Tendency to field the ball flat footed.  Topped out at 75 mph across the infield.  At the plate, the right handed hitter starts with a wide balanced stance, and uses a short stride.  Overall, swing is short and compact.  Level swing with linedrive potential.  Reached a top exit velocity of 64 mph off the tee.  On the mound, he throws through a high 3/4 slot with short arm action.  Adequate hip turn.  Tendency to take eye off the target during delivery.  His 77-79 mph fastball showed good arm-side run. Liked to start this pitch off the plate and to have it comeback across the corner.  He also used a 67-68 mph curveball.  The breaking ball showed some sharpness with 11/5 movement.

Michael Fenner, 1B/OF, Willoughby South HS, 2015

5-foot-10, 160 pound left handed hitting first baseman.  Topped out at 70 mph with throws across the infield.  Showed some good actions bouncing off first base when turning a double play.  At the plate, he uses a slightly bent stance with short stride.  Tendency open front side early, not allowing him to drive balls to the opposite field. Takes a big strong swing, while showing power to the pull field.  Pull tendencies in swing.

Mitch Kelley, RHP/SS, Marysville HS, 2016

6-foot-0, 150 pounds with an athletic frame.  Two way prospect.  Registered a 4.94 home to first time.  In the infield, he displays average hands and footwork.  Likely a 2nd base or 3rd base type at the level.  Showed accuracy in throws across the diamond.  Topped out at 69 mph.  At the plate, he uses a balanced athletic stance with short stride.  Tendency to wrap bat during load.  Shows some good weight transfer through contact.  Level swing with linedrive production.  Reached a top exit velocity of 76 mph off the tee.  On the mound, he throws from a 3/4 slot with short arm action.  Quick arm speed.  At time, he struggled finding a consistent arm slot.  His fastball sat between 73-75 mph and showed some good comeback action.  He also mixed in a 62 mph curveball thrown at near fastball arm speed.

Nicholas Rose, C, Olentangy HS, 2015

5-foot-9, 145 pounds with slim frame.  Throws from a high 3/4 slot with short arm action.  Slight hitch in throwing motion.  Displays above average footwork, and some quickness in transfer.  Registered 2.16-2.17 pop times.  Reached a top arm velocity of 73 mph.  Demonstrates good glove work in the infield.  At the plate, the left handed hitter uses a wide straight on balanced stance with a short up and down stride.  Smooth weight transfer through contact.  Linedrive type with pull tendencies.  Will continue to improve as he increases physical strength.  Recorded a top exit velocity of 73 mph. 

Sam Grodhaus, OF, Dublin Jerome HS, 2016

5-foot-8, 160 pound right handed hitting outfielder.  Registered a 5.30 home to first time.  In the outfield, he throws from a high 3/4 arm slot with long arm action.  Throws on an uphill plane.  Played well through the ball, and will continue to improve his throws by cleaning up his footwork.  Topped out at 64 mph from the outfield.  At the plate, he uses a straight on stance with short stride.  Shows flashes of power with his uphill swing path.  Tends to leave weight on back leg through contact point.  Also shows some good extension after contact.  Reached a top exit velocity of 69 mph. 

Scott Nadler, SS/3B, Hilliard Darby HS, 2015

5-foot-10, 145 pounds with a small athletic frame.  In the field, he throws from a 3/4 arm slot with short arm action.  Consistently fields the ball cleanly.  Needs to quicken up transfer.  Projects better as a 2nd or 3rd baseman at the next level.  Topped out at 79 mph across the infield.  At the plate, the left handed hitter uses a balanced wide base with small leg stride.  Smooth load.  Solid weight transfer through contact.  Takes a backside approach and lets his hands do the work.  Overall, a linedrive hitter that projects a high contact rate.

Thomas Fleser, RHP/1B/3B, Big Walnut HS, 2016

6-foot-4, 160 pounds with a long lanky frame.  Great size for young prospect.  In the field, he throws through a 3/4 arm slot with long arm action.  Throws from third base showed solid accuracy and good carry.  Hands are still improving.  At first base, he showed some quickness in footwork hoping off the base to turn a double play.  Topped out at 73 mph.  At the plate, he uses an open stance with short stride.  High hands (above head) trigger.  Weight tends to stay on bag leg through contact.  Level swing.  Produces linedrives consistently, while taking a short quick path to contact.  On the mound, he throws from a 3/4 arm slot with long arm action.  Smooth tempo throughout delivery.  Throws on a downhill plane.  His fastball sat between 76-79 mph and showed some arm-side run.  He also mixed in a 70-73 mph curveball that showed gradual movement at 11/5 tilt.  Could definitely see a jump in velocity over this coming year. 

Thomas Strasshofer, OF, Mayfield HS, 2015

5-foot-9, 135 pounds with a small, athletic frame.  Played well through the ball in the outfield.  Topped out at 74 mph on throws from right field to third base.  At the plate, the left handed hitter uses a slightly closed stance with short stride.  Displays a quick bat.  Will continue to improve as he implements lower half in swing.  Slap type hitter that shows some opposite field tendencies. 

Zackery Arnold, 3B/RHP, Olentangy Liberty HS, 2016

5-foot-9, 160 pounds with an average athletic frame.  In the field, he shows some smoothness in footwork.  Hands are continuing to improve.  Showed solid accuracy with most of his throws.  Topped out at 66 mph.  At the plate, the right handed hitter uses balanced straight on stance with a short leg lift stride.  Tendency to be a little stiff with lower half.  Level bat path.  Overall, a short compact swing with linedrive production Reached a top exit velocity of 82 mph off the tee.  On the mound, he throws from a high 3/4 slot with short arm action.  Smooth tempo.  Some effort in delivery.  Needs to work on increasing momentum towards home plate.  His fastball sat between 69-71 mph and did show some slight cutting action at times.  He also used a 63-64 mph curveball that showed solid depth at 11/5 movement.  When throwing his breaking ball, his arm speed tends to slow considerably.
