PBR New England Spotlight Game: Xaverian Brothers vs Boston College High

In the game between the Xaverian Brothers Hawks and the Boston College High Eagles, Xaverian RHP Daniel Chapski faced off against Boston College RHP Henry Ennen.

The first half of the game was a pitchers duel with neither pitcher giving up a run through 5 complete innings.

Both pitchers relied heavily on their defense as Chapski only struck out 2 in 7 ⅔ innings and Ennen struck out 6 in 6 ⅔.

In the top of the 6th, the Hawks manage to score 2 runs to give them a 2-0 lead through 6.

They then scored 3 in the top of the 7th and 3 more in the top of the 8th before the Eagles put offense together in the bottom half of the 8th scoring 4 runs.

From there, the bullpens took over threw a scoreless 9th giving Xaverian an 8-4 win over Boston College.

Daniel Chapski had a fine day on the mound for the Hawks giving up only 3 runs in 7 ⅔ innings work. He was able to keep the ball down throughout, allowing his defense to settle in and get outs behind him. The Boston College offense was unable to get any offense going until the the 8th when Chapski finally started getting tired.

Henry Ennen also had success in the first half of the game giving up no runs through 5 innings.

The Xaverian offense then scored 2 in the 6th and 3 more in the 7th before Ennen’s day came to a close for the Eagles.
