PBR Partners WIth Ballard High School For Super Prep Series Tournament

By Chris Fuller
Kentucky Scouting Director

Prep Baseball Report Kentucky has teamed up with Ballard High School to bring the Super Prep Series High School Baseball Tournament to Louisville April 8-11, 2015.  The design of the tournament is to bring together top high school teams from several different states to maximize competition.  The teams invited to participate have high-profile players on their roster that have either already committed to play collegiately at the Division I level, or will likely do so in the near future

“We saw first-hand the tournament the Ballard softball program was able to put together last year under the Super Prep Series banner, and we want to bring that kind of competition to the Louisville area from a baseball standpoint,” Ballard Head Baseball Coach David Trager stated.  “They were able to create some marquis softball matchups last spring with several high-profile teams in attendance.  Having received firm commitments from some of the top teams from Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky, Ohio, Tennessee, and West Virginia, we are well on our way to creating those types of baseball matchups this coming spring.  We’re working on bringing in top teams from a few other states as well.”

The tournament, which will take place at various sites around Louisville, will be covered by Prep Baseball Report Kentucky via social media and a scout blog on the Prep Baseball Report website.  Additionally, games will be webcast live on iHigh.  Given the number of high-profile prospects attending, the event will undoubtedly draw numerous scouts to the Louisville area.

Stay tuned for more much more information in the coming weeks on this exciting high school baseball event coming to Kentucky.
