COLUMBUS, OHIO – St. Charles’ senior right-handed pitcher Jonathan Ogden dominated with a complete game, shut-out performance against conference foe Bishop Watterson.

With the scoreboard blank through the first two innings, Louis Altomare of Saint Charles led off the top of the third with an infield single.  After getting into scoring position due to a wild pitch, junior Jacob Weikert singled to right field scoring Altomare giving Saint Charles a 1-0 lead.

After a quick top of the fourth, St. Charles continued to keep the momentum with two more runs on wild pitches, pushing the lead to 3-0.  Later that inning, Weikert added another RBI single giving him 2 RBIs on the day.

St. Charles continued to threaten in the later innings by putting runners in scoring position but, but Bishop Watterson reliever Michael Stotler managed to shut the door.

Watterson hitters hit the ball hard all throughout the game; unfortunately they were not able to find holes.

Ogden went the distance for Saint Charles striking out the final batter of the game to secure the win.
