On Sunday, August 22nd, 2021, Prep Baseball Report Minnesota will be conducting its annual PBR MN Unsigned Senior Showcase for an event at the University of Northwestern-St. Paul in Roseville, MN. This event is specifically for 2022 graduates.  

Last year’s Unsigned Senior Showcase brought 49 uncommitted prospects to the campus of Northwestern-St. Paul. The event featured a showcase-style workout including data collection from both Trackman and Blast that will provide players with advanced metrics for their player profile.   

This year’s event will see over 80 uncommitted players from Minnesota and Wisconsin; as well as North and South Dakota. There are still limited spots available to register: CLICK HERE

One of Minnesota’s top ranked players attending the event is two-way talent Kyle Hrncir. The Farmington Tiger, currently 33rd in MN 2022 class, helped lead his high school to a 4A State Championship this year. Hrncir stands at 6-foot-5, 215-pounds and shows off a unique combination of strength and speed. He will be one to monitor throughout the day.

 

Another two-way player attending Sunday is Chisago Lakes’ Reed Marquardt. Marquardt, who attended last weekend’s Prospect ID-Fargo, did not disappoint. An athletic frame at 6-foot, 160-pounds; impressed in all aspects. The SS/RHP moves athletically running a 7.03 60 and showed good infield actions while throwing 82 mph across the diamond. At the plate, Marquardt produces consistent contact and uses the whole field; registering an 84 mph exit velocity of the tee. On the mound; the two-way prospect showed the ability to command the strike zone, pitching in the 81-83 mph range.

This Sunday will be an action-packed day filled with plenty of talent looking to put themselves on college programs radars entering the Fall.
