Pennsylvania Daily Roundup for May 14th



No.16 Conestoga 4,  Ridley  1
With today’s 4 - 1 win No.16 Conestoga moves to 14-4 on the season. Ridley falls to 9-10 on the season with the loss. Alan Wang picked up the big win for Conestoga pitching seven innings, striking out seven and only allowing one hit. Jake Carr led the offense for Conestoga going two-for-two with two RBI.

Boyertown 4,  Phoenixville 1
With the win today Boyertown improves to 16-5. Starting pitcher Dan Woodley went seven innings striking out 12 and surrounding just two hits for Boyertown. Offensively, Boyertown was led by Kyle Weller's three-for-three performance with an RBI. Shane Allen’s seventh inning home run accounted for the only run for Phoenixville (12-7).

Penncrest 11 ,  Strath Haven 8
The nine inning game today in Strath Haven ended with Penncrest scoring 3 runs in the ninth and going on to win 11 to 8. With the win Penncrest moves to 13-6, while Strath Haven falls to 10-8 on the season. Donnely and Thomson both had a home run each in the fifth inning for Penncrest. For Strath Haven, Splain was four-for-five with two runs scored.

No.22 Hatboro-Horsham 4,  North Penn 1
No. 22 Hatboro- Horsham notched the win today over North Penn to improve their record to 17-3 on the season. Lefty Casey O’Donnell earned the win for Hatboro- Horsham throwing seven innings and only allowing two hits on the day. O’Donnell came into the game today with a 2.16 ERA. His lone poor performance this season was against North Penn where he allowed four earned runs over three innings of work. Tonight was a different story as he retired 18 of the first 19 batters he faced. He finished the game giving up just two hits and retired eight batters via the strikeout.

Plymouth Whitemarsh 7,  Norristown 6
PW moved to 10-9 on the season with a three run rally in the bottom on the seventh to erase a 6- 4 deficit. With one out and the bases loaded, Teddy Slagle singled home the tying and winning runs for PW.

Central Bucks South 10,  Central Bucks West 1
Central Bucks South was led by Bobby Witterman who pitched a complete game striking out four and yielding just three hits to earn the win.  Central Bucks West falls to (12-5) on the season. Central Bucks South collected nine hits as a team on the day.
