Mount Juliet took the field against the No. 3 ranked team from Kentucky last Friday night, and what transpired was a dominant pitching outing in a 6-1 victory.

Junior left-hander Dylan Bonds turned in a masterful performance in frustrating Ballard hitters all evening. When the dust had settled, Bonds allowed just one hit and racked up 16 strikeouts in the complete game effort. He frustrated and struck out hitters in every way imaginable using an array of back door curveballs, back-heel curveballs, and elevated fastballs while also using the fastball to pitch inside effectively. Bonds is currently uncommitted, but after we posted some video of his performance things have started to heat up for the lefty.

For his performance on the field, Mount Juliet 2017 LHP Dylan Bonds has been selected the PBR Tennessee Pitcher of the Week for March 28-April 2.
