Three weeks in and the season is in full swing.  Teams are solidifying positions and are at the front end of some divisional play. Teams in the north prepare for Spring Break while teams in the south are preparing for divisional rivalries.  This past week saw a matchup between two top Top 10 teams, yielding a victory for Desert Oasis over Bishop Gorman on the road, holding their reign on the top spot. Palo Verde appears to have settled in, winning four games this week and remains at #2.  The big jump this week comes from Northern Nevada’s Reno High School, leaping from #6 to #3. The Huskies experienced another undefeated week, defeating southern California foe Glendora on the road. PBR Nevada has been impressed with Reno’s pitching depth, an unknown to start the year. Basic and Centennial move up behind Reno and Bishop Gorman slides to #6.  There is some movement at the bottom of our top 10. Liberty holds at #7 and Bishop Manogue at #8. Spanish Springs rises to #9, while Arbor View falls to #10. 

Several teams are on the cusp and playing well at the class 4A level. Damonte Ranch at 9-1 received a lot of consideration but strength of schedule may be holding them back as is the case with Silverado and Las Vegas.  As these teams get tested look for them to make a move should they meet some of the immediate challenges in front of them.

Both the 3A and 2A levels stay pretty much intact with Boulder City and Lincoln County continuing to lead the charge at the 3A level.  Churchill County appears poised to make an appearance in the Top 5, starting the season 7-0. We will keep a close eye on the Green Wave going forward.

The 1A level had a little shake up with Virgina City falling to #5 as they are off to a rough start.
