Power 25 Ranking: Week 4

TEXAS, USA - Now that we are 4 weeks into the season, starting rotations and solidfied lineups are starting to take shape. As head coaches are now seeking a district title, teams that play in more competitive districts are starting to make moves within our ranking. While the idea here is to truly separate the best teams in the state, no matter how big or small, private or public, our “boots on the ground” scouting staff is constantly out scouting and evaluating teams in almost every corner of Texas. Here is the most updated ranking.


Top 5

#1 Colleyville Heritage
Took 2 games from Birdville, moving to 13-1 Overall, 2-0 in District.

#2 Argyle

Beat Iowa Park 9-2, and No. 13 Cleburne 5-4 in a come from behind win on the road.

#3 Lake Travis

Went 2-0 with an 8-7 win over Lehman, and 7-3 Win over a quality Westlake club that was 15-2-1 overall.

#4 Cypress Ranch

Now 4-0 District. Went 2-0 with a two game sweep over Bridgeland. Outscored them 17-0 and didn't allow a run.

#5 Georgetown

Defeated East View 2-0 and 5-0 to move to 2-0 in District.


Trending Up

#6 The Woodlands

Moves from 7 to 6 with a 2-0 week. Wins over Klein and Conroe.

#9 Prosper

Went 2-0 this week, moving from 11 to 9 defeating McKinney in two games by a combined score of 17-0.

#10 Oak Ridge

Moving from 14 to 10 after going 2-0 with wins over College Park and Klein Oak to bring their district record to 5-0.

#13 Houston Memorial

Now 2-0 in District, the Mustangs won both games over Cypress Fair

#18 Wakeland

Overall 13-6-1 after going 2-0 against Reedy, the Wolverines are now 5-0 in District, and they have won 9 of their last 11 games.

#23 Southlake Carroll

The Dragons Overall record doesn’t glean much attention. However, after getting off to a rough starts, Coach Vucan’s club has now gone 9-3 in their last 12 games with 2 wins over Keller last week. They have the most Power 25 wins of any team in the state (Keller 2, Georgetown, Argyle, Flower Mound, Coppell, and Wakeland). Watch out for this group.

#24 SA Reagan
The Rattlers have won 6 in a row and are now 2-0 in district after going 3-0 last week with wins over Johnson, Churchill, and Canyon.


Bubble Teams

Gregory-Portland is now 14-2 after going 1-1 last week with a close one to Calallen 2-1.

Flower Mound bounced back after a rough third week of the tournament season, going 3-0. The defeated Keller on Saturday, and swept Lewisville during the week.

Aledo only played once, but they are now 12-2.

Dallas Jesuit is now 12-6 after splitting games with Plano West, but if they can start to win a couple series’ in disctict, they will likely move up because of their strength of schedule.

Marcus went 3-0 last week to move to 13-4.
