**ALERT: DUE TO IMPENDING WEATHER, THIS EVENT HAS BEEN MOVED TO SUNDAY, JAN. 13. THE LAKEPOINT FACILITIES WILL STILL HOST THE SHOWCASE.**

It was announced that, due to the threat of rain, the Georgia Preseason All-State showcase will be moved to LakePoint’s baseball facilities for the event this Sunday, Jan. 13. This will mark PBR Georgia’s first event of 2019 and the first-ever preseason event under the PBR Georgia umbrella, since the branch was officially announced back in March of 2018.

Preseason All-State is an invite-only event for the state’s top prospects representing all high school classes – 2019 to 2022. To request an invite, click HERE. If you have been invited and are looking for information regarding Sunday's itinerary, click HERE.

Among the top-ranked prospects headed to LakePoint on Sunday is the No. 4 prospect in the state’s 2020 class, Dalton Pearson (North Gwinnett; uncommitted). As stated in our deep dive into the class’ top-10 prospects on Tuesday: Pearson has a balanced and direct approach from the right side with solid bat-to-ball skills. Power is on Pearson’s horizon; he’s already added strength and there’s no reason to think it won’t manifest itself at the plate eventually.

A 2018 PBR Future Games prospect is making his way to Cartersville, too. Loganville Christian’s Dalton Strickland (2020; uncommitted) represented Team Select in Westfield, Ind., last August and is the No. 40-ranked prospect in the state’s junior class. He’s been on the rise, too, after a strong performance at October’s Deep South Invite.

We’ve also spent some time this week highlighting in greater detail a few other players who will be joining us on Sunday, Preston Joye (Fellowship Christian, 2020; uncommitted) and Nathan Slayer (North Gwinnett, 2021; uncommitted).
