2017 Spring Scout Blog:
Two way athlete took the mound for the opening round of the 4A sectional. Stands 6-foot-1 190 pounds with a strong upper body and some athleticism. Simple delivery with easy effort and good acceleration from the lower half. Complete finish at times, but will stop the follow through on some pitches. Average tempo. Fastball velocity saw gains since we saw him in the summer. Was a solid 86-87 in the first few innings with some sink action before settling in at 82-83 in the 4th. Breaking ball was 72-74 throughout flashing some sharpness. Could be a very good pitch if the action was more consistent. All pitches were commanded well. Continued development will lend itself to good projectability on the mound.

2/25/17:
Stocky, 6-foot-1, 190 pound catcher has quick feet and clean transfer behind the plate.  Arm action is short, quick.  Tendency to lean, dive forward as he receives.  Pop times ranged between 2.00-2.08 with throws topping at 79.  Receiving skills are average, sometimes creating too much movement.  In the box, Fitzpatrick has fast bat speed with ability to drive ball gap to gap.  Top exit velocity of 90mph.  Short stride, hands load back.  Ran a 7.57 60yd dash.
