Coach Erik Hisner and the Whitko High School Wildcats look to build off an impressive 20-9 campaign in 2012. Coach Hisner returns five starters and three pitchers from a team that was also 4-3 in the Three Rivers Conference.

The Wildcats will be led in 2013 by a solid group of seniors. Alex Stoddard and Ryan Weigold were both solid on the mound as a part of Coach Hisner’s rotation. Stoddard was 3-4 with a 3.72 ERA while also collecting 2 saves on the mound. He also hit .352 at the plate. Weigold batted .337 and was the top relief pitcher for the Wildcats. He finished with a 1.75 ERA on the mound and also earned 2nd Team All-Conference honors as an outfielder. Senior Wyatt Wolf will also contribute in the rotation while starting in the outfield.

Junior Ethan Nicodemus was an All-Conference performer in 2012, earning 2nd team honors as an infielder while batting .348. Outfielder Zach Snep earned 1st Team All-Conference honors in the outfield as a freshman last season. Snep led the Wildcats at the plate with a .390 batting average.

Other players who could make significant contributions in 2013 are juniors Seth Patrick (C) and Avery Robbins (INF). Tanner Gaff (OF/INF/P) and Hunter Sroufe (OF) are a couple of freshmen that could also see playing time as the Wildcats compete for a Three Rivers Conference championship.
