Keith Leavitt, OF, St. Johns Prep, 2015

BACKGROUND

6-foot-1,190-pound left-handed hitting and right-handed throwing outfielder of St. Johns Prep. He has made his college commitment to Penn State. He had interest from schools up and down the East Coast but chose State College as his future home. He continues to tradition of St. John’s Prep putting out high level baseball players year in and year out.

SCOUTING REPORT

Projects as a corner outfielder at the next level. Keith is a slightly above average runner with average arm strength. His coverage in the outfield is good and he shows feel for angles and reads.

Shows great potential at the plate. His swing is flat through the zone with gap to gap power. His set up is clean and with physical gains, he should become a physical player at the next level. Presently, his strength is to pull the side, so in time, he will need to shows continued adjustments while using the whole field as he goes up in levels.

Keep an eye on him as he’s one of many quality players currently on St. John’s Prep.
