Q & A with Southern Indiana commit Sean Pedley (2013 MIF, Daviess County HS)

Sean Pedley, a 2013 MIF from Daviess County HS, has commited to continue his eduaction and baseball career at the University of Southern Indiana.  We recently caught up with Pedley, and he discusses his decision with PBR below.

PBR: Why did you choose Southern Indiana?

Pedley: I chose USI because the baseball program has had a lot of success.  Coach Archuleta, Coach Kester, and the players really made me feel at home and they offer the degree I am interested in. 

PBR:  What other schools were you considering?

Pedley: University of Arkansas, Little Rock, Olney Central Community College, and Murray State University 

PBR: Where did the coaching staff first see you play?

Pedley: I played in the USI fall league my sophomore year. 

PBR: What role do the coaches expect you to play your freshmen year?

Pedley: Coach Archuleta told me to work hard, make good grades, and opportunities will present themselves. 

PBR:  What would you consider to be your biggest strength as a player?

Pedley: I feel that defense is my greatest strength. 

PBR: Who has had the biggest impact on your baseball career?

Pedley: There have been several people; but my family, has been there every step of the way. 

PBR:  Who do you play for in the summer? 

Pedley: Louisville Baseball Club - Coach Corky Morse 

PBR: What is your most memorable baseball moment?

Pedley: Playing in the Kentucky High School State Tournament at Applebee's Park my freshman year. 

PBR: Who is the toughest pitcher you have faced in the state of Kentucky?

Dylan Dwyer - University of Kentucky 

PBR:  What are your goals for your senior season at DCHS?

Pedley: Return to the Ky. State Tournament and play quality baseball as a team.
