PBR: Why did you choose Sinclair?


Basilone: Sinclair gives me the best chance of reaching my goal to play DI baseball and I really liked my visit with Coach Dintaman. I also like that Sinclair has a winning program and Coach Dintaman has won coach of the year several times.

 

PBR: What other schools were you considering?


Basilone: Ashland, and Lake Erie

 

PBR: Sinclair is known for sending many of their players to 4 year colleges. How much of a role did that play in your decision to go to Sinclair?


Basilone: The number of players they have sent to DI schools played a major role in my decision to attend Sincliar.

 

PBR: Where did the Coach Dintaman first see you?


Basilone: The first time Coach Dintaman saw me was on my visit to Sinclair.

 

PBR: What team do you play for in the summer and what is your most memorable moment.


Basilone: I played my summer ball with Ohio Elite (Lee). Winning Pastime Nationals and the World Series was my most memorable moments.

PBR: What were your expectations about the recruiting process?


Basilone: The recruiting process was all new to me so I didn’t really know what to expect.

 

PBR: What were your stats this spring season at Lexington?


Basilone: Pitching: 7-1, 50 IP, 64 SO, 0.70 ERA, 0.195 BAA, .Hitting 348 BA, 3 HR.

 

PBR: Who is the toughest hitter that you have faced in Ohio?


Basilone: DJ Wilson
