The Colorado Fall Prospect Games will be held October 1st and 2nd at Highlands Ranch High School. Participants from the classes of 2020-2017 will participate in a pro-style workout and games for the PBR Colorado Staff. Over the next few weeks we will introduce you to several of the participants, continuing our look is 2B/RHP Kyle Moran from Pine Creek High School (2019).

PBR: Describe yourself as a baseball player to those who have never seen you play:
Moran: I play every game like it is my last game; I sprint on and off the field. I love to dive for baseballs and my curveball is my favorite pitch.

PBR: What would be your dream school to play baseball at? If you have already committed to play at the next level, why did you choose that particular school?
Moran: My dream school would be Arizona State. I travel a lot for baseball and when I visited Packard Stadium I could see myself playing there. When you see names like Barry Bonds, Dustin Pedroia, and Reggie Jackson on their alumni plaque, you can’t help but want to play for such a great school. Also, my cousin graduated from ASU and I love the Arizona weather.

PBR: What are your best assets on and off the field at this point in your high school career?
Moran: My composure on the mound. I try not to get worked up about things I cannot control both on and off the field. My curveball on the field, and also my fielding. Off the field I always want to throw a baseball.

PBR: What is the best baseball advice you have received and try to follow to this point in your career?
Moran: The best advice I’ve received is to always try your hardest and don’t let other people influence how you play.

PBR: What does your off-season routine look like to prepare for the upcoming season?
Moran: I’m going to work out and build my strength and stamina for pitching and continue to work on my hitting.

PBR: What are your superstitions or routines that go on during a season?
Moran: I will always wear a sleeve depending on if we are home or away.

PBR: What are your goals for:

This Season: To start 2nd base for Pine Creek HS varsity baseball and to get a 3.8 GPA or higher.

Two Years: Commit to a D1 college either to play middle infield, pitch or both.

Four Years: Keep working on completing my degree, continue to improve in baseball and win the College World Series playing for my college.
