PBR: Why did you choose Northwest Missouri State?
I chose Northwest because it caught my eye at an early age and I never lost the feeling that I belonged and went down there and it proved to me that Maryville was the town I wanted to spend my college years.
PBR: What other schools were you considering?
I was looking at jucos a lot before I got my offers to play division II offers from William Jewell and Northwest Missouri State.
PBR: Where did the coaching staff first see you? How did your relationship develop with them?
I started emailing them my video and they invited me to come tryout for them and tour campus. It happened pretty quick. I got an offer two weeks before I signed and texted them frequently slowly getting to know them better and better.
PBR: Was there one deciding factor that put your choice over the top?
I just always had an eye for their university and once they offered me I knew that was where I wanted to go.
PBR: Who has helped you the most to get to where you are today?
I have a list that have contributed to making me better. Joe Siwa from strike zone I owe all my catching skills to. My head coach Adam Hoffman for pushing me hard in the weight room and my parents for driving long distances all the time just for me to put in some work in the cages or catching.
PBR: Going into your senior season next spring, what are your expectations for your team?
We lost all of our varsity pitching innings to graduation. We will be young but I'm confident that the younger kids will put in the work. Our legion team has everyone back this summer.
PBR: What plans does the coaching staff have in store for you in your freshman season?
They will have a lot of experience returning at catcher but they want me to fight for playing time and get on the field in any way possible.
PBR: What is your most memorable baseball moment to date?
Hitting a go ahead home run in late innings of a legion state tournament game.
PBR: Who is the best player you have played against in the state?
Austin Schultz. He pitched against us in a state tournament game in Bennington and now is committed to play baseball at the University of Kentucky.
