Recruiting news from Missouri

In long awaited recruiting news around Missouri, prospects continue to commit and sign at schools.

Todd Hinkley
, a left handed hitting catcher from Liberty HS has committed to Hutchinson Community College. As a junior in 2011, Hinkley hit .481 and recorded a school record .681 On Base Percentage. Hinkley was named Second Team All State for Class Four as a DH/Utility. Look for Hinkley to have a big senior year, leading a Liberty team that finished 25-6 in 2011, with a Class Four Final Four appearance.

Ethan Peacock (right), a 1B from Lee’s Summit HS, has committed to Ft. Scott CC. At the Open ID showcase last February at The Yard in Lee’s Summit, the lanky 6-foot-1, 165-pound lefty Peacock showed solid mechanics and a loose arm with good command of all pitches, especially a late moving change up (66-69 mph) and curveball (63-66 mph) with good depth and tight spin. At the plate, the left hand hitting Peacock shows an easy, smooth swing that produces line drives.

Parkway South RHP/3B Casey Willenbrink (left) has committed to Mineral Area Community College. A veteran of PBR events, Willenbrink is a gap-to-gap hitter with good bat speed, and some power potential.

Lindenwood University picked up a pair of commitments from Borgia RHP/OF Brenden Kleecamp and Blue Springs South OF Austin Holland.

Brendan Kleecamp hit .381 with six doubles, one triple, and tweleve RBI's. On the mound, Kellcamp went 5-1 with fourty six strikeouts in thirty Seven innings pitched.

Austin Holland hit .341 with nine doubles, two triples, three HR, and twenty three RBIS as a junior in 2011. Holland was honored as an Academic All-State athlete as well.
