SCHSL 3A Rankings - Week 2

1. Bishop England (3-3)
Last Week - 1 

- The Bishops took two from Mannings last week and seem to be rounding into form. Uncommitted 2021 Daniel Brooks finished last week 3-7 with 2R, 2RBI, and 4 shut out innings on the mound. BE gets Academic Magnet two times this week in region play and James Island in a non region matchup. 

2. Chapman (6-0) 
Last Week - 7

- Chapman picked up two more big wins last week over Greer and Union County. Triton McSwain homered and the offense scored 16 runs in two games. They will be eyeing a big matchup with Broome on the horizon.

 3. Hanahan (8-2)
Last Week - 3

- The Hawks split two region games with Georgetown and bested Phillip Simmons in a non region game last week. Charlie Mac Toman was outstanding on Friday throwing a CG with 14 Ks. They have an intriguing match up Friday night vs. Oceanside at Shipyard Park. 

4. Gilbert (6-1)
Last Week - 4

- GIlbert picked up two wins last week over Swansea and White Knoll. They will have a very real test this week against region opponents Strom Thurmond and Edisto and then a strong non region game against 4A Airport. Andy Jackson was solid on the mound against White Knoll, working 5.0 innings and striking out 3 only allowing 1 hit.

5. Strom Thurmond (7-3)
Last Week - 5

- Two wins over Saluda pushed the Rebels record to 7-3 overall. They are on tap for a huge matchup Tuesday with Gilbert. Matthew Holmes and KJ Butler have been solid for the ST offense lately. 

6. Cheraw (6-3)
Last Week - 9

- The Indians picked up 3 more wins last week to push the overall record to 6-3. Jacob Gainey picked up 3 hits against Marion and will be guiding the Braves into a 3 game week with Lake City, Chesterfield, and Aynor. 

7. Mid Carolina (5-2)
Last Week - 2

The Rebels raced out to a 5-0 start before dropping two games last week. The top 6 hitters in the lineup hit safely in a 5-4 loss on Friday night. Bryce Medlock has been off to a quality start, he and the Rebels will look to get back on track with Union and Woodruff this week. 

8. Camden (5-3)
Last Week - NR

- Camden picked up wins over Andrew Jackson and Fairfield Central last week. They get Lexington, Lakewood, and a huge region matchup with Indian Land on Friday. The pitching staff has been solid and if the offense comes around this team will continue to trend up the rankings.

9. May River (4-3)
Last Week - 10

- 3 wins last week have the Sharks building momentum heading into the heart of region play. They clipped Hilton Head last week before handling their business against Lake Marion twice. Nick Bass threw 4.0 innings and punched out 12 in a 12-0 win. They have two games with Battery Creek and a single game with Bluffton this week. 

10. Aynor (5-4)
Last Week - NR

- Aynor finished last week with a 2-1 record after slipping up against Loris but bouncing Back with wins over Myrtle Beach and Marion. Grant Prosser went 3 for 4 with a run scored and a RBI against Marion. This week will be a tell all for the Blue Jackets with a non region game against North Myrtle Beach and region games with Dillon and Cheraw.
