SCHSL 5A Rankings - Week 2

1. River Bluff (5-1)
Last Week - 1 

- River Bluff dropped their first game of the season last week to Cardinal Newman. The Gators have the first major test of the season this week as they take on Dutch Fork. Expect Alex Urban, Ricky Williams, Noah Lebron, and company to be ready to go on Monday. 

2. Dorman (7-1-1) 
Last Week - 8

- TJ White has been on fire to start the season and the Cavaliers went 4-0 last week to push their overall record to 7-1-1. The pitching staff has been rolling allowing only 6 runs in their last 4 games. They get Riverside (3/19), Byrnes (3/21), and Riverside (3/22) this week. 

3. T.L. Hanna (7-1)
Last Week - 3

- TL Hanna dropped a 2-1 decision to 4A #1 AC Flora on Saturday for their first loss of the season. South Carolina recruit Will McGregor is leading the charge as of late, after hitting safely in all 3 games and throwing a perfect game last week. The Yellow Jackets will turn their attention to Greenwood and JL Mann this week.

4. Fort Mill (9-1)
Last Week - 6

- Fort Mill took 2 of 3 from cross town/region rival Nation Ford last week. UNC Charlotte recruit Mikey Tepper turned in a quality start on Monday and fellow UNC Charlotte recruit Connor Manco collected 5 hits and hit safely in each game to lead the efforts. Fort Mill is on a quick turn around this week as they take on Rock Hill in a 3 game set starting Monday.

5. Hillcrest (8-0) 
Last Week - 9

- Hillcrest continued its hot start with 3 wins last week, two 10 run decisions over Gaffney and a non-region win of Woodmont. Trotter Harlan finished the week 9-12 with 2 home runs and 7 RBIs. They have Boiling Springs on the horizon this week. 

6. Riverside (5-3)
Last Week - 5

- The Warriors split two games last week with Byrnes. They suffered a 3 to 2 loss in walk off fashion and defeated the Rebels 5-3 in the second game of the series. When the dust settles after this week Riverside will have a much better idea of where they stack up. They have 4 games this week with TC Roberson, Dorman, JL Mann, and Dorman on the schedule. 

7. JL Mann (6-3)
Last Week - 7

- The Patriots went 2-1 last week with a sweep of Easley and a loss to Mauldin. Mann will square off with Woodmont and Riverside this week. Reed Morrissey finished up last week 4 for 9 with 3 RBI, 2R, and a double.

8. Dutch Fork  (4-2) 
Last Week - 4

- The Silver Foxes went 1-2 in the first week of region play with a pair of loses to Chapin. Noah Jackson and Ty Olenchuk will look to help this talented group bounce back this week. It won't be easy as they are set to square off in a huge matchup with River Bluff. 

9. Stratford (7-2)
Last Week - NR

- The Knights have not lost since they dropped two games in the Shipyard/PBR showdown to Byrnes and Nation Ford. Dylan Stewart, Blake Marrs, and Travis Lott have the offense rolling. They scored 30 runs last week and will square off with Wando in a huge region matchup this week. 

10. Boiling Springs (6-3) 
Last Week - 2

- Boilings Springs dropped two games last week to Dorman and defeated Laurens in a non-region game. The young roster will look to rebound this week in what has turned into a huge Region 2-5A series with Hillcrest. 

NEXT FIVE: Blythewood, Lexington, Wando, Berkeley, St. James
