- Westminster Catawba vs. Gaston Day -

- We were out early on in the afternoon to see Limestone College recruit Anthony Alejandro (LHP, WCCS, 2019)  throw for the Indians of Westminster Catawba. Alejandro is a medium framed LH with an OTT release point. He featured an 84-85 mph FB that topped out at 86 mph and mixed a big breaking ball with 11/5 shape. His athletic frame aids in an easy repeatable delivery with moderate effort. Competitive make up will serve him well at the next level.

- The second of the Alejandro brothers, Limestone recruit Andrew Alejandro (C/INF, WCCS, 2019), did the catching for his brother. His athletic medium profile suggests he will fit in behind the plate at second or third, or even in the OF at the next level. The short compact RH swing trends towards low line drives. The speed is average to slightly above, he runs well when he gets under way. He handled his brother well on the mound and pop times ranged from 2.04-2.16 between innings with room to improve.

- Uncommitted 2019 Sabin Teague (LHP, WCCS, 2019) is another interesting prospect on the Indians roster. The project type left hander sports a slender frame at 6 foot 5. With extreme length in the limbs it makes it tough for him to repeat his delivery. The control was off somewhat this game and he fell behind, having to throw fastballs, he gave up a two run home run. The FB has been up to 83 and the projectable frame makes him an intriguing prospect with a high ceiling.

- Sewanee recruit Carson Rowland (INF, WCCS, 2019) played SS for Westminster this game. He profiles more as a corner INF and looked to be playing SS because of depth on the roster. His physical frame and strong lower half should help him transition into college baseball. As the game evolves and the approach at the plate becomes more refined expect him to produce gap to gap power.

- Clover vs. Chester -

- Jordan Price (C, Chester, 2019) the imposing catchers frame flashes raw talent and athleticism that could make him a late addition to a college roster. He will need future development to fine tune the skillset but the raw power, arm strength, and natural block and recover skills make him an interesting target.

- Jared Dixon (SS/OF, Chester, 2019) A slender athletic frame on this SS with room to finish out his physical development. Looks and feels more like an OF than a SS. Has a raw hit tool that still has some swing and miss in it, but there is gap to gap power present and enough speed to be a threat on the bases and to make him a potentially dynamic offensive player.

- Chris Tribble (SS/2B, Clover 2020) the athletic middle infielder for the Blue Eagles can really pick it. The current arm strength suggests that he may slide over to second but the mixture of strength and speed could keep him at SS if the arm strength improves. The actions up the middle are silky smooth playing himself into good hops with confident hands. The attack angle can get steep at times but the low line drive bat path will play when it is combined with his speed.

- Kolby Crepeau (OF/1B, Clover, 2020) listed at 5 foot 10 and 175 lbs at a fall PBR event. Looks to have grown another inch or two taller and added some good muscle mass. Not a burner but runs well when he gets under way. The arm strength should improve with development and there could be a power surge coming in the bat as his game evolves.

- Joey Hylinski (OF/RHP, Clover, 2022) interesting 2022 prospect. Played the OF this game but also pitches. Taller leaner frame than his brother (Jake Hylinski, FloDar recruit) who is also a member of the Blue Eagles team. Loose whippy arm action from RF with carry on his throws. Inside/out left handed swing at present could develop into a more straight up approach as he gets stronger. Will be on the follow list this summer.

- Union County vs. Whitmire -

- Chase Hood (SS, Whitmire, 2019) strong bodied infielder that looks to be close to filled out physically. Rangy SS with fringe-avg arm strength could stick at SS or move to 3B if need be. LHH showed a tendency to let the hips leak and drag the barrel through the zone. Flashes of above avg bat speed at times that could translate into power potential if he engages the hips and releases the barrel through contact. USC Sumter recruit.

Trey Parks (2B, Union County, 2019) a medium framed infielder with a proportional build. Rangy second baseman looks and plays like a true 2B. Handled the bat well with a simple RH swing that had little wasted movement. Slightly open stance and short toe tap stride with slight hand load. Line drive bat path that won't produce many fly ball outs. Solid defensive ability with good hands and solid-avg arm strength.
