The Future Games begins this week as the premiere recruiting event throughout the summer circuit featuring some of the best uncommitted underclassmen from across the country.  Prep Baseball Report Arkansas has put together this year's roster featuring some of the top players from across the state from the 2025 and 2026 classes.  We take a brief look at this year's roster breakdown down below.  Be sure to follow along throughout the week for updates and coverage from both the Future Games and the Junior Future Games.

PITCHERS

Cael Turner RHP / Cabot, AR / 2025 The 6-foot-3 and 200-pound physical right-hander from Cabot joins the Team Arkansas pitching staff as one of the top power arms in the state.  With the fastball working in the low 90's in the past, he pairs the heater with a high spin breaking ball that has been shown to have strong swing and miss abilities in the past.  Turner will take the ball for the first two innings against Team Oklahoma on Friday.

Jackson Estes LHP / OF / North Little Rock , AR / 2025 Estes has a long and lean athletic build at 6-foot-3 and 200 pounds.  He has shown and explosive fastball working in the upper 80's in the past and has a swing and miss curveball in the low 70's with strong spin.  The North Little rock product will take the mound in the 3rd and 4th innings on Thursday against Team Utah.

Dillon Askew LHP / 1B / Rogers Heritage , AR / 2025 The left-hander from Rogers Heritage joins the staff as one of the top pitchability guys in the state.  Askew has a true 4-pitch mix with advanced command and showing the ability to work both sides of the plate.  With a swing and miss slider at times, look for Askew to be one of the more sought after lefties in the class.  Askew gets the ball to open it up for Team Arkansas pitching the 1st and 2nd innings on Thursday against Team Utah.

Beau Billeck RHP / 3B / Conway, AR / 2025 The right-hander by way of Conway joins the roster as one of the top power arms in the Natural State.  Billeck uses his physical 6-foot-3 and 215-pound to work the fastball up in the upper 80's with strong carry and heavy action.  Will also show a swing and miss breaking ball in the mid 70's with feel for spin.  Billeck will toe the rubber in the 3rd and 4th innings against Team Oklahoma on Friday.

Cade Miller RHP / 1B / Rogers Heritage, AR / 2025 Miller joins the pitching staff having one of the better sinker/slider combos in the State.  The Rogers Heritage right-hander plays a strong horizontal game working the fastball and slider to both sides of the plate with strong action on both and showing a feel for a fading changeup giving him a complete arsenal.  Miller takes the mound in the 5th and 6th innings on Thursday against Team Utah.

Maddox Hampton RHP / Nettleton, AR / 2025 The right-hander from Nettleton will work on the mound for Team Arkansas as a high pitchability/control type with the fastball working up to 89 in the past.  Hampton has strong spin on the fastball giving him strong riding life through the zone and shows feel for both a slider and changeup giving him a quality three pitch mix arsenal.  Hampton gets the nod in the first two innings on Saturday against Kentucky.

 

TWO-WAYS

 

Grant Karnes RHP / OF / Greenwood, AR / 2025 Karnes will work on both sides of the ball for Team Arkansas as an athletic twitchy athlete the plays with a high motor.  The quick twitch carries on both sides of the ball and he shows some snap at the plate with sneaky pop.  Karnes has a lean and athletic frame that can carry more strength in the future.  Karnes will split his time getting at bats and will take the ball for the final inning against Team Utah on Thursday.

Greyson Westbrook 3B / RHP / Wynne, AR / 2025 Westbrook will take his 2-way talents to Team Arkansas as a high-motor, twitchy athlete that translates to both sides of the ball.  The Wynne product shows raw strength and has shown the ability to collect hits in bunches.  On the mound he has shown strong stuff with a high effort delivery.  He has a big arm that has been up to 92 mph across the diamond which should translate to more velocity on the mound in the near future.  Westbrook will work the 3rd and 4th innings on Saturday against Team Kentucky.

Madden Tatum OF / SS / Valley View, AR / 2026 The rising sophomore gets the nod on both sides of the ball for Team Arkansas for this week's Future Games.  Tatum has a long and lean projectable frame standing at 6-foot-3 and 170-pounds with plenty of room to add strength and size. Tatum has a smooth left-handed stroke with sneaky pop, reaching up to 94 mph in exit velocity in the past.  On the mound he's already working into the upper 80's with a clean arm swing offering huge projection on the mound for the future.  Tatum will get the ball in the 5th and 6th innings on Friday against Team Oklahoma.

Shaun Cover 3B / 3B / Conway, AR / 2026 The 2-way prospect from Conway shows advanced tools for the class on both sides of the ball.  The soon to be sophomore has a strong hit tool already showing advanced strength.  He has the ability to play in multiple spots on the diamond offering some defensive versatility as well.  On the mound he is been up to 89 mph in the past and shows strong spin on the breaking ball that he tunnels well with the fastball.  Cover will take the hill in the final inning on Friday against Team Oklahoma.

Blaize Ward SS / RHP / Maumelle , AR / 2025 The 2-way from Maumelle will put his athletic game on display for Team Arkansas on both sides of the ball this week.  At the plate, the left-handed hitter has a smooth stroke while maintaining his athleticism throughout the swing.  He has a gap to gap approach and will mix in some sneaky pop at times with exit velos creeping into the low 90's.  On the mound he uses his raw arm strength to work the fastball in the upper 80's and has shown a strong feel for commanding the zone.  Ward will work on the bump in the 5th and 6th innings on Saturday against Team Kentucky.

Payton Sterritt RHP / OF / Sheridan , AR / 2025   The 2-way from Sheridan will look to put his elite athleticism on display for Team Arkansas this week on both sides of the ball.  Sterritt has a plus run tool running in the 6.6's in the past allowing him to cover a ton of ground in the outfield and showing enough arm strength to have a true center fielder's profile.  On the mound he keeps his athleticism through the delivery and shows some carry on the fastball in the zone.  At times the right-hander will show signs of a swing and miss off speed arsenal as well.  Sterritt will close out the game pitching in the 7th inning on Saturday against Team Kentucky.

 

POSITION PLAYERS

 

Broc Mattox 1B / 3B / Benton, AR / 2025 The first baseman from Benton will look to put his power game on display for Team Arkansas throughout the week at the Future Games.  Mattox has a very physical build at 6-foot and 215 pounds, Mattox has delivered exit velocities up to 99 mph with big bat speed to go along.  The carrying tool for Broc is his quiet/advanced approach at the plate showing strong patience and attacking pitches he wants to damage on.

Landon Carter SS / 2B / Sylvan Hills, AR / 2025 When it comes to pure tools, Carter might have one of the better collections at this year's Future Games.  Earlier this summer Carter turned in a 6.39 60 making him one of if not the fastest player in the class.  But it isn't just about speed with Carter, he's shown exit velocities up to 99 mph and has shown big arm strength working up to 88 mph across the diamond.

Drew Gartman SS / Valley View, AR / 2025 Gartman is another member of Team Arkansas bringing a high level of athleticism to this year's squad.  The Valley View shortstop turned in a 6.46 60 time earlier this summer and showed a big arm across the diamond at 89 mph.  Gartman is long limbed, lean, and projectably built at 6-foot-3 and 170-pounds and will easily carry more strength on the frame in the future.  He shows an advanced approach with strong gap to gap skills.

Walt Jones SS / 2B / Ashdown , AR / 2025 Jones joins the roster with the coveted "gamer" tag attached to his skill set.  The wiry and athletically built middle infielder has strong bat to ball skills with good barrel control in the zone.  The Ashdown product is a throwback type player that plays with a high motor and should be one to keep an eye on in the coming years.

Hudson Rodgers 1B / 1B / Valley View, AR / 2025 The rising junior first baseman from Valley View will look to put his power game on display for Team Arkansas throughout the week.  Rodgers swings with high leverage creating above average power thanks to strong bat speed from the right side.  Rodgers is able to create a ton of torque in the swing thanks to the levered swing and shows a unique ability to get extension.

Jayden Sloan OF / 1B / Sylvan Hills, AR / 2025 The outfield/first baseman from Sylvan Hills joins this year's squad having one of the smoothest left-handed strokes in the class.  Sloan is able to maintain his athleticism throughout the swing with strong balance.  He has a simple approach with repeatable mechanics that allows him to work the ball gap to gap with surprising pop.  Sloan still has plenty of room to continue to add strength to the frame and should be an intriguing follow over the next couple of years.

Charlie Graves OF / 3B / Fayetteville, AR / 2025 Graves joins Team Arkansas with some of the better raw tools in the class.  He has some athleticism that plays up on both sides of the ball showing raw power from the right side.  The swing has some twitchiness to it and can make some serious noise when everything is connected.  At 6-foot-1 and 185-pounds, Graves has plenty of room to add strength giving him one of the higher ceilings in the class.

Cade Palmer C / 3B / Russellvile , AR / 2025 Palmer makes the roster for Team Arkansas as one of the top catch and throw backstops in the state.  The Russellville product has shown the ability to produce showcase pop times as low as 1.9 in the past with some carry on the throws.  At the plate he has worked exit velocities up to 92 mph with quick hands through the zone and strong overall bat speed.

Landon Holzhauer C / 3B / Fayetteville, AR / 2025 The backstop from Fayetteville has shown a big arm from behind the plate working pop times earlier in the summer as low as 1.87.  He also has advanced blocking and receiving skills completing the package.  Offensively he works a gap to gap approach with some sneaky pop mixed in and a feel for working counts.  His strong catch and throw skills mixed with his quick rotational swing makes him a must follow in the coming years.
