With the help from submissions and combing through box scores from Opening Day until Wednesday March 6th, we are announcing the first Player of the Week Award to go to Jackson Kircher from Little Rock Christian after a strong showing in the early season on both sides of the ball.  The OU commit has already amassed 14 punchouts in 6 1/3 innings pitch while yet to allow a hit.  Offensively, he's also added 2 homers, a double, and a triple to his senior campaign while helping the Warriors to a 3-1 record.

Hit: RHH. Open set with leg lift to land foot leverage behind to stable in ground Slight uphill to big extension
Power: 96 max exit velocity, averaged 82.5 mph. 334’ max distance. Pull side power with consistent path
Arm: RH.   OF - 88 mph. Clean arm swing with carry to the plate
Defense: Attacks ball fields outside front foot quick exchange

On the mound, showed quick arm speed with a short consistent arm action and a high ¾ arm angle. Up-tempo type pitcher who uses some effort. Balance point is tall with an in line shoulders during delivery. Lands square with balanced an athletic finish. Threw his fastball 82-85 mph; had command both sides of the plate around the zone and deceiving action with straight movement. (Max spin 2196; Avg 2043). He shows feel in the zone command and swing and miss action on his sharp 11/5 curveball (69-72). (Max spin 2359; Avg 2291). Threw a heavy changeup (77-79) with arm side in the zone command and swing and miss fading action.

(75.4 mph bat speed average). (20.4 mph hand speed average). Started in an athletic balanced stance with a smooth controlled load, then used a controlled short stride. Has explosive present bat speed, short upward swing plane and good extension on his high finish. He barreled up lots of balls with tons of loud contact. Gap to gap aggressive approach. Athletic confident from the outfield, he displayed a position velocity of 84 mph; had sure consistent hands, athletic consistent footwork, and a quick fluid exchange. Fielded the ball out front to the side with athletic quick movement laterally. Used a quick consistent arm action and clean slot while showing consistent accuracy to the base. Displayed speed and athleticism at the event, recording a 60 time of 6.88. Projectable capable on the mound, showing quick consistent arm speed he used a short compact arm action and a high ¾ arm angle. Feel up-tempo type pitcher who shows some effort. Tall balance point with even downhill shoulders. Lands square with an athletic balanced finish. Produced a fastball that came in at 82-85 mph; has a straight fastball that showed control both sides of the plate in the zone and some running action. He showed some tilt action and glove side in the zone command on his 11/5 curveball (71-73). His heavy changeup (76-78) had slight fading action and arm side feel control.
