2017 TEAM PREVIEW: Knightstown Panthers

2016 Record: 22-9
Conference (2016 Record): Mid-Hoosier Conference - 8-1
Returning Starters/Pitchers: 4/3

2017 Team Strengths:

Top Returning Players:

• Isaac McRoberts, C, 2017: .362BA 13XBH
• Tyler Burton, P/OF, 2018: .388BA 10XBH 3-2 1.79ERA (right)
• Kaunner Cleek, P/3B, 2018: .329BA 6-2 1.78ERA

Outlook:  Coach Hardesty comes off another strong season with 4 returning bats and 3 arms.  Senior catcher Isaac McRoberts should produce runs and be a team leader for the Panthers.  Tyler Burton and Kaunner Cleek are expected to be atop this year's rotation after being very competitive on the mound last year.  It's hard to replace talent like Drake Peggs (Eastern Michigan) from last season, but expect this group to be very strong and to compete for a sectional title.
