2017 TEAM PREVIEW: Chesterton trojans

Conference (2016 Record):  8-6
Returning Starters/Pitchers: 4/4

2017 Team Strengths:

Top Returning Players:

• Austin Peterson, P, 2018: 1.00 ERA .400BA
• Owen Hallas, OF, 2017
• Tommy Benson, SS, 2018
• Grant Brunt, RHP, 2018 (right)

Outlook:  The Trojans return their top 3 pitchers and top half of the lineup this spring following an 18-10 record.  A pair of Purdue commits, Austin Peterson and Grant Brunt, will lead Chesterton on the mound. Peterson is also the top returning hitter.  Owen Hallas and Tommy Benson will be key components to the Trojans success this spring both offensively and defensively. Chesterton expects to have the talent to compete for both conference and sectional titles and a deep run in the state tournament.
