Teams in the northern Kentucky tend to start playing later in the spring compared to the rest of the state. That statement holds true for Ryle HS who didn’t play their first game until March 29 (a 5-0 loss to Cincinnati Elder). Since that season opening loss, the Raiders have been the most consistent team in the northern part of the state.

Ryle stands at 11-3 on the season, their other two losses coming at the hands of Ohio power Cincinnati Moeller and Lexington Catholic. Last week, the Raiders compiled a 4-0 week that included a 4-0 shutout over Male, a win over Bishop Brossart, and a double-header sweep of a solid Campbell County team. Ryle is riding a six-game win streak and checked into the Power 25 this week for the first time this season at No. 23.

For their outstanding effort on the field, the Ryle Raiders have been selected the PBR Kentucky Team of the Week for April 11-16.
