Transfers bolster high school rosters.

As players throughout the state head back to class for the spring semester and programs are busy preparing, for the upcoming season, a few teams are receiving notable infusions. These infusions are a result of players transferring schools for the upcoming season, some of which will be immediately able to participate, while other players will be sitting out the season and anxiously awaiting the 2020 season to impact their respective programs. Below are some of the more notable transfers:

2019

Tyler Montoya, LHP, Montoya has transferred to Desert Oasis after attending multiple schools over the first three years of high school.  According to reports, he has yet to play at any of his previous stops. Montoya is a capable left-handed pitcher that will bolster an already deep pitching staff.  It is uncertain as to what is role will be for the Diamondbacks, just that he is sure to pitch some important innings along the way.

2020

Paul Shawn Pasqualatto, RHP, has transferred from Spring Valley to Palo Verde.  Palo Verde already looks to make a serious run at another state title, Pasqaulatto is sure to contribute to their depth on the mound and might likely find himself in the rotation behind Bryce Robison and Peyton Cole.  Palo Verde has other capable rotation starters, allowing Pasqualatto to bolster their bullpen and offer a legitimate closer type option.

Paul Myro, SS, has transferred from Basic Academy to Palo Verde.  Myro, an Oregon state commit, is a two-sport athlete that did not play baseball last spring, but did play football for Basic in the Fall. Reports have him immediately eligible to play this spring and will certainly impact an already potent Panther lineup.  Unsure as to where he will land positionally with Peyton Cole the everyday shortstop, Myro is athletic enough to play anywhere on the field.

2021

Tyler Whitaker, IF/RHP has transferred from Arbor View to Bishop Gorman.  Whitaker, an Arizona Commit, will have to sit out the 2019 season but with two years of high school remaining, Bishop Gorman will certainly have time to reap the rewards of his transfer.

Thomas DiLandri, OF/RHP, has transferred from Bishop Gorman to Palo Verde.  DiLandri, a TCU commitment, is a toolsy two way player. He has represented Team USA the past two years. He is an athletic outfielder with power potential as well as a projectable right-handed pitcher. This season, he is likely to make his biggest impact in the already potent Palo Verde lineup.
