At the plate, had consistent hard gap to gap contact during his round of BP. Square crouched stance, small stride triggers hands and weight shift through the baseball. Works through the ball and threw accurately across the infield at 73 mph.  On the mound, has repeatable simple mechanics. Arm is short on the back side and long out front. High ¾ arm slot creates good depth and tilt to his 66-68 mph curveball. Also showed 73-75 mph changeup for strikes.

PBR: What schools have expressed interest in you?
Palomo: University of Nebraska at Kearney and Southwestern Iowa community college have showed interest in me.

PBR: Is there a favorite at this point in the process?
Palomo: My favorite would be UNK because that's closer to home and I am familiar with the program since my brother attended UNK.

PBR: Have you taken any visits, or have any visits scheduled in the near future?
Palomo: I plan on visiting later in the fall due to the fact that football is taking up most of my time right now.

PBR: Are you looking for anything in particular in a school? (Example: high academics, certain academic program, local, etc.)
Palomo: I am looking for something not to far from home and with the school that will be the best for me academically.

PBR: What were some of your highlights during your junior year?
Palomo: Highlights during my junior year are turning into a better hitter and helping my team  win a district title. I got to play in the state tournament in Plattsmouth NE.

PBR: What are your goals for this year?
Palomo: Goals for this year are to get stronger and faster so I can perform to the best of my abilities. I want to be a leader for my team and make the most out of my senior year.
