Got a quick check in on Fisher during his first two innings of a start to see what his velocity was. Fastball was 82-85, touching 86 once, when he was in the windup. In the slide step, still gives up a couple ticks, hit a lone 85, mostly was 81-82 with some 83s. Curveball was 65-68. Changeup was 74.

Fisher has an athletic frame, he throws from a low three-quarters arm slot with short free arm action that is quick with some effort to his delivery. Shoulders are uphill and closed, lands closed, athletic finish with recoil to his arm. Took an inning to loosen up, fastball was 79-82, touching 83 in the first before he settled into 81-84, touching 85 a few times in the second inning. Pitch has some plane to it as well as late run to armside, showed ability to command it in the zone moving it in and out at will. Change-up was 71-72 with very good armspeed and fade to it. Curveball was 67-69 with some armspeed and 10/4 break. Has feel and command of all three pitches and competes on the mound. At the plate, hits from the left side, longer path came around the ball, but bat is quick, slightly uphill path with line drive swing.

 Fisher is 5-10 with an athletic frame that has projection left to it. He hits from the left side from a slightly open tall athletic stance, strides on line, short smooth load back, good rhythm, hips rotate completely with some violence, good balance to swing. Very short to ball and quick to it to, level swing path to contact with extension uphill through the ball, line drive swing with some carry in the gaps and potential to add power, exit velocity was 81. At short, clean feet, rounds ball and fields with a wider base and above average hands. Quick clean exchange, works through the ball and throws from a low three-quarters arm slot, infield velocity was 82. Showed versatility taking balls in the outfield, arm played up to 87 there. Ran a 6.98 60 yard dash. On the mound, he throws from a three-quarters arm slot with a short free arm action with some quickness and some effort. Shoulders slightly uphill and on line, lands on line with a slight fall off finish and some recoil. Fastball was 80-83, touching 84, with some downward plane and a bit of late run to it. Curveball was 60-61 with some armspeed and 12/6 break. Change-up was 63-64 with good armspeed and heavy fade. Slider was 64-66 late 11/5 break and some armspeed.

Looked good at short, clean actions above average hands and some arm strength with a loose arm action. Moves athletically. His from the left side, open upright balanced stance, strides on line, good rhythm. Strides on line, smooth load back, hips fire with good balance. Good hands, gets barrel to the ball, has some quickness and extension through the ball. Has chance to develop some gap and pull power as he continues to mature. On the mound, quiet simple delivery, throws from a three-quarters arm slot, loose arm action, normal effort. Shoulders level and slightly closed, lands a bit closed with some fall off and recoil in his finish. Fastball was 79-80 with some late run. Curveball had 10/4 action and some armspeed.

 

 

11.5.17: Fisher is 5-10 with an athletic frame, he hits from the left side from an open athletic stance. Short leg kick stride on line, smooth load back, good rhythm to swing. Explosive hips and good balance during swing. Short quick swing, level path with extension through it. Line drive swing with some power potential, mostly worked middle of the field, gets uphill to pull side, exit velocity was 81. At short, quick clean feet, rounds the ball well and plays through it, fields with a wide base and above average hands. Quick clean exchange, throws from three-quarters arm slot with short loose arm action, infield velocity was 83. Ran a 7.07 60 yard dash. On the mound, throws from a three-quarters arm slot with a smooth delivery, short free arm action that is quick, generates velocity with normal effort. Shoulders are uphill and on line, lands slightly closed with a bit of a fall off finish. Fastball sat 78-80, touching 81 with heavy sink. Change-up was 63-65 with heavy run and was thrown with some armspeed. Curveball was 61-63 and had sharp 10/4 break, he threw it with good armspeed. Showed feel for all three pitches.

 

 

9.15.17:  Fisher has an athletic frame, hits from the left side, short swing with some pop, quick bat. Handles bat well, can drag bunt. At short, clean feet, good actions, above average hands and throws from a low three-quarters arm slot with a short arm action.
