Scouting Report

8/19/18- 6-foot-4, 165-pound right-handed throwing arm.  Long lanky frame with room to fill out.  Good tempo delivery with balance.  Lands slightly across body.  Clean arm action from a ¾ arm slot.  Fastball is sneaky with arm side run at 80-82 mph topping at 86 mph.  Curveball is 11/5 break with solid spin and shape thrown at 69-72 mph.  Change-up is 74-77 mph with occasional fade.  Added strength could make for a pop-up arm in late Fall or early Spring.

6/19/18-  6-foot-3, 165-pound right-handed pitcher. Tall lean frame, long clean arm action, simple mechanics and repeats delivery well, upright on release to plate. Fastball was 78-81 mph with good control and has running action to plate. Larger shape on 11/5 curveball with late break. Straight changeup has avg. fade and sink. Athletic actions on mound and hides ball from hitter.

PBR: What schools have expressed interest in you?

Eisenberg: I have had interest from all levels of college baseball, but mainly D1 and D2.

PBR: Have you taken any visits, or have any visits scheduled in the near future?

Eisenberg: I have been on a few official overnight visits. I have visited SMSU, Northern State, Augustana, SDSU, NDSU, Scholastica and I have a visit with USF and UMary soon. I also have a camp/visit scheduled with Eastern Michigan. There are a few more that I’d like to get to, but it’s hard with Fall baseball and school.

PBR: Are you looking for anything in particular in a school? (Example: high academics, certain academic program, local, etc.)

Eisenberg: I would like to pursue a career in Physical Therapy so I’m looking at schools that have an exercise science degree and a strong partnership with a graduate program. I am also looking for a school that has a track record of developing players, because I just turned seventeen and I’d like to see how far I can go with pitching.

PBR: What were some of your highlights during your junior year?

Eisenberg: Winning the championship in Myrtle Beach this past February was pretty awesome and pitching complete games this summer was also nice.

PBR: What are your goals for this year?

Eisenberg: I’d definitely like to gain at least 15-20 pounds this Fall/Winter. I’ve never really “lifted” before so I really want to do that this off season. I know I can definitely increase my FB velocity to 90 with some added strength and weight. Another goal would be to help my high school team win sections.

PBR: Do you play any other sports?

Eisenberg: No, I’ve always only played baseball.

PBR: What is your ACT and GPA?

Eisenberg: Unfortunately, I had a tough sophomore year and my gpa was really effected so I currently have 2.7. I am working extremely hard this year and looking for straight A’s. My ACT is a 23, but I am going retake it in December.
