6/19/18- 5-foot-11, 155-pound right-handed hitting shortstop. Has progressively improved over last 18 months and continues to impress. #26 ranked player in MN 2019 class. 6.71 runner. Balanced swing, slight length to contact, aggressive approach, line drive hitter, consistent hard contact, 89 mph exit velocity. Plays with confidence in field, above avg. hands and feet, attacks baseball with ability to read hops, arm plays with accuracy and carry to bag, well above avg. actions, 84 mph arm strength across infield.

3/18/18- 5-foot-9, 145-pound right-handed hitting short-stop. #24 ranked player in MN 2019 class. 7.07 runner. Tall stance, leg kick trigger, solid rhythm in swing, clean path, consistently squares baseball, hard line drive contact, gap to gap approach, 81 mph exit velocity. Above avg. actions in field, soft glove, plays up tempo, works through ball, clean arm action, and should be followed closely by colleges programs through spring and summer, 83 mph arm across infield.

 

3/18/17- 5-foot-9, 145-pound right-handed hitting shortstop. 7.31 runner. Shows rhythm in hands, line drive contact, mid/pull approach with ability to use whole field, requisite hitting tools, should continue to improve with added strength, 82 mph exit velocity. Agile and plays on balls of his feet, active, above avg. actions, soft glove, throws from multiple angles, glides around field, accurate to bag with carry, 84 mph arm strength across diamond.

10/24/16- 5-foot-9, 140-pound right-handed hitting shortstop. 7.4 runner. Easy actions in box, balanced swing, slight leg kick trigger, good rhythm, line drive swing plane, consistently squares baseball, mid/pull approach, 78 mph exit velocity. Light on his feet, good footwork, soft glove, plays with rhythm and fluidity, long release on throws, accurate to bag, 80 mph arm across infield. Strong Follow in 2019 class.

PBR UNCOMMITTED SPOTLIGHT

PBR: What schools have expressed interest in you?

Rubenall: I have heard from mid-major division one schools and some local division two schools.  

PBR: Have you taken any visits, or have any visits scheduled in the near future?  

Rubendall: I don’t have any planned at the moment but look to do that in the future.

PBR: Are you looking for anything in particular in a school? (Example: high academics, certain academic program, local, etc.)  

Rubendall: I am looking for a school with good academics and a place where I can see myself being for 4 years. I’m interested in studying business or sports management. 

PBR: What were some of your highlights during your junior year?

Rubendall: Beating a very good Minnehaha Academy team, at Siebert Field. I went 2-3 with a clutch double and made a nice play up the middle. 

PBR: What are your goals for this year?

Rubendall: My goals for this upcoming season are, to win the tri-metro conference, and make a run is sections. We have the team chemistry to make this happen.

PBR: Do you play any other sports?  

Rubendall: I play soccer.

PBR: What is your ACT and GPA?

Rubendall: I have a 3.7 GPA and a 22 on the ACT
