Scouting Report

8/19/18- 5-foot-9, 170-pound right-handed hitting catcher.  8.20 runner.  Slightly open narrow stance.  Small body and hand load back.  Short finish and slash contact at times.  Mid/pull approach with line drive and fly ball contact.  Weak contact opposite field and inconsistent barrel at time.  79 mph exit velocity.  C- Well balanced and good glove.  Works well low to high and shifts weight well to block.  Good transfer and feet have good direction.  1.93-2.08 pop times.  69 mph arm strength with decent carry and good accuracy.

6/19/18-  5-foot-9, 170-pound right-handed hitting catcher. #87 ranked player in MN 2019 class. 7.52 runner. Body load, strides across body, line drive swing plane, mid/pull approach, avg. pop in bat, 79 mph exit velocity. Present strength, holds pitches in zone, avg. flexibility, works through plate well on throws, clean exchange with quick release, 71 mph arm strength with 2.07-2.19 pop times.

3/18/18- 5-foot-8, 170-pound right-handed hitting catcher. #60 ranked player in MN 2019 class. Square stance, slight rolling hand load, line drive swing plane, slight lift through zone, mid/pull approach, solid pop in bat, fly ball and line drive contact, 7.71 runner. Solid receiver, sticks pitches in zone, mobile behind plate, quick feet, clean exchange, has direction through plate, 70 mph arm strength with 2.09-2.19 pop times.

 

3/18/17- 5-foot-7, 165-pound right-handed hitting catcher. 8.03 runner. Body load, solid strength, some stiffness in swing, finds barrel consistently, spray contact to mid/pull side of field, 77 mph exit velocity. Works around the plate, clean arm action, solid carry and accuracy to bag, 2.06-2.19 pop times with 74 mph arm strength.

PBR: What schools have expressed interest in you?

Rinehart: Grand View, UW-Stevens Point, Bethel

PBR: Have you taken any visits, or have any visits scheduled in the near future?

Rinehart: Have gone to Grand View and Stevens Point and will visit Bethel soon.

PBR: Are you looking for anything in particular in a school? (Example: high academics, certain academic program, local, etc.)

Rinehart: Just need to feel a good fit academically and with the baseball program.  I want to feel like I'm home.

PBR: What were some of your highlights during your junior year?

Rinehart: Playing in the State Legion tourney, competitive series w/eventual state champ Stillwater.

PBR: What are your goals for this year?

Rinehart: Continue to get better as a team each week.  Peak at section time and get back to the state tourney. Personally, I want to help our pitching staff lead the conference in ERA.

PBR: Do you play any other sports?

Rinehart: Football and I'm an awesome in-house basketball player.

PBR: What is your ACT and GPA?

Rinehart: ACT of 21 and GPA of 3.04
