Unsigned Senior Games Showcase: Complete Results Posted

The Kentucky Unsigned Senior Games event at Northern Kentucky University brought together 65 players looking to showcase their abilities to college coaches and the PBR Kentucky Staff.  Players were given the opportunity to do so with extended infield/outfield, on the field batting practice, and game play.

There were several talented players on display, including Connor McHugh (SS/RHP, Dunbar HS) who showed off his plus arm across the infield at 92 mph.  McHugh also impressed on the mound with a fastball that touched 87 with big run, and a swing-and-miss slider.  He has already picked up a Division I offer since the event.

A few other highlights from the event:

Reed Spata (SS, Scott HS) showed big power at the plate, consistently driving the ball in his round of batting practice that included taking one out over the 18-foot high left field fence.  Spata then followed that up during game play with a double deep down the left-field line and an absolute bomb to left-center that cleared the fence with plenty of room to spare.

Mason Forbes (OF, Ryle HS) continues to show an increase in arm strength virtually every time we see him with throws that registered 87 mph.  Forbes put on an offensive show on Sunday smoking two doubles and an opposite field single, and was robbed on a web gem in what would have been his fourth hit of the day.

Justin Warren (3B, Henry Clay) followed up a solid round of batting practice with a double down the left-field line and smoked two more doubles to left-center during game play.

Tyler Niemann (C, Canton HS) traveled from Missouri to attend the event and didn’t disappoint.  The left-handed hitter showed good pull power, launching a long home-run to right that was just foul, and smoking a double and a triple during game play.

Over the coming days we will take an in depth look at all the players in attendance at the event, including several more players who showed well.
