Scouting Report

Physical: 6-foot-3, 236 pounds; proportional, strong lower half. 7.71 runner in the 60.
Offensively: RHH. Slightly open front side with high hands north of the ears; moves the hands a lot to maintain rhythm and build momentum in the hands, small stride out forward. Good use of the lower half, rotates well and clears hips every swing with an uphill swing path with quick hands that turn the barrel well. Hit the ball in the air very well, displaying some pop to all parts of the field; peak Trackman exit velocity of 93 MPH.
Defensively: Straight up stance with shoulder width feet; moves well off the bag on the double play, lets the ball travel to him. Uses a glove side turn to throw with soft hands; high 3/4 slot with long, whippy actions in the arm. INF - 78 MPH.
Pitching: Good tempo down the mound with even better acceleration using his front foot to set the pace. High 3/4 slot with hand speed through the throwing window. FB: T 80 MPH, 76-79 MPH. Located very well throughout the zone, likes to throw the FB up. CB: 55-59 MPH. Throws the CB well in the bottom of the zone, good movement giving it some dive.

Physical: Large and physical, 6-foot-3, 236-pound frame with strength present throughout the movements. 8.20 60-yard dash runner. 

Offensively: RHH. Tall, open stance with the barrel waggling over the shoulder from a high setup. Utilized stretch in the hands at load coupled with a leg-kick stride to initiate a violent, slightly uphill barrel path into the hitting zone. When on time at the front of the plate, created plenty of high level bat speed and jump to the pull-side. The hands worked short to the zone and got long through extension, a combination that pointed to loud contact to all fields while showing standout juice during his batting practice round.  Recorded a top bat-exit velocity of 92 mph per Trackman Baseball with ability for more. 

Defensively: The primary first baseman showcased adequate feel around the bag with a moderately low center of gravity. A soft glove hand approached the ball out in front of the body off of the left foot allowing for inside turns on double play footwork. 1B - 82 mph 

Pitching: RHP - Side rocker step, high leg kick with directional drive towards the plate. Gets downhill plane out of a high ¾ slot from a tall release with good extension .. FB worked down at the knees at 76-79 T80 mph and appeared heavy at times. Countered with a slow-breaking 55-58 mph CB with 11/5 shape across the zone.
