Shull possesses a strong and athletic build along with good speed, running a 6.9 sixty at a PBR event this past fall.  In the outfield he plays through the ball and shows the ability to cover a lot of ground.  He shows good defensive actions with good arm strength at 84-85 mph. From the infield Shull shows good range to both his left and right.

 

At the plate Shull possesses the tools to hit at the next level with a balanced approach with a wide base.  He shows good bat speed and gets to extension well, with ability to hit for some power when pulling the ball.    

 

On the mound from the right side he shows a fastball consistently in the upper 70’s, touching 80 mph.  He throws three off speed pitches; a 61-66 mph breaking ball, 70-71 mph changeup, and a 69-71 knuckle ball.

 

From the left side on the mound Shull showed the ability to keep the ball in the zone with a 69-70 mph fastball.  He throws two off speed pitches from the left side, a 56-59 mph breaking ball, and 59-61 mph changeup.

 

Shull is an athletic prospect with the ability to play multiple positions, projecting to play the outfield at the next level.
