Unsigned Senior Spotlight: Cameron Cummins

Cameron Cummins, MIF, Harrisburg HS, Class of 2012
The younger brother of former Harrisburg All-State standout Christian Cummins, the 5-foot-11, 160-pound Cameron enjoyed an extremely beneficial summer in which he lit it up at several events. Cummins, who’s a sub-7 runner, especially impressed at the Midwest Classic in August. He is a three-year varsity standout for the perennial powerhouse Bulldogs.

At a Prep Baseball Report event last winter, Cameron displayed the best foot speed of the day by running a 6.95 60 on a slow track. Defensively, the middle infielder displayed excellent hands and arm across the infield (80 mph). Cummins moved with rhythm and displayed a soft backhand. At the plate, he exhibited a balanced setup and swing. Cummins showed a level stroke as he squared up the ball consistently.

This spring, Cummins will team up with junior SS/RHP Ryne Roper to comprise one of the state’s best middle infields.
