Unsigned Senior Spotlight: Cory Lubinski (Pattonville HS)

Cory Lubinski is a lanky 6-foot-1, 170-pound unsigned senior, who after his performance last week at the Fall Prospect Showcase, should not remain unsigned for long. Lubinski has the talent, abililty, and build to be an effective player at the next level

Lubinski ran an event best 6.77 60. In the field, Lubinski showed a good approach to the ball with body control and soft hands, a quick transfer, and range to his backhand and glove hand side. He has a strong, accurate arm across the diamond, with a top throw of 83-mph.

At the plate, Lubinski has a slightly open stance with a short stride. He maintains balance through his swing, with a long bat path and level swing, driving the ball on a line to all fields, and some flashes of power to left center field.
