Unsigned Senior Spotlight: Jon Keesling, RHP, Wapahani HS



Jon Keesling is a 6-foot-2 inch, 215 pound senior right handed pitcher from Wapahani High School.  He works at a quick pace with a fastball at 79-82 mph with some are side run.  He shows an above average high school breaking ball at 67-69 mph.  His changeup is 73-74 mph changeup with late fade. 

PBR: As you enter your senior year of HS, where are you currently in the recruiting process?
Jon: I have visited a few schools, but my options are completely open.

PBR: What schools are you most interested in right now, and why?
Jon: Indiana Wesleyan, Manchester, Ball State, Murray State.

PBR: What aspect of your game do you believe needs the most improvement?
Jon: I believe that my strength and conditioning needs the most improvement.

PBR: What team do you play for in the summer, how do you feel playing for them helped you?
Jon: Muncie Legion Post 19, we were able to go down to Tennessee and play some great competition.

PBR: What preparation are you doing now for the upcoming high school season?
Jon: Strength and conditioning 4 times a week as well as receiving instruction from Mike Shirley and Scott French.

PBR: What are your goals for the upcoming 2012 season?
Jon: Lead my team to its fullest potential.

PBR: What is your fondest memory or highlight from your 2011 baseball season (High School or Summer)?
Jon: Winning championships in High School season, county, conference, and sectional.

PBR: What were your stats for your 2011 HS season? Summer Season?
Jon: HS: 9-0, 2.32 ERA, 62 K’s, 10 BB, 60.2 IP

PBR: What is your GPA? If you have taken it, what did you get on the ACT/SAT?
Jon: 2.8 GPA, 1510 SAT
