Mason Forbes, OF, Ryle HS, 2014

Mason Forbes is a 6-foot-1, 170-pound OF with good athleticism who has shown well at multiple PBR events, most recently the Unsigned Senior Games at Northern Kentucky University in August.

Forbes has consistently improved his measurables at each event he has attended.  He ran a 6.85 60 yard dash on a fast track at the Top Prospect Games in June, and then showed the most arm strength we have seen from him at 87 mph from the outfield at the Unsigned Senior Games.

At the plate, Forbes generates very good bat speed as evidenced by his 90 mph tee exit velocity.  He makes consistent hard contact and shows the ability to drive the baseball to all fields.  His swing produces a lot of extra-base hits with occasional home run power, and he shows good aggressiveness on the base paths.

Forbes is currently ranked No.33 in Kentucky’s 2014 class.
