Updated Kentucky Power 25 Team Rankings

By Chris Fuller
Kentucky Scouting Director

As we begin the last week of regular season play across The Commonwealth, we have a new team in the No.1 spot in the Power 25 for the first time since April 8 as Central Hardin jumps one spot to the top.

The Bruins now stand at 26-3 on the season, and their recent 1-0 win over St. Xavier coupled with the Tigers shutout loss to Lexington Catholic this week, vaults them to the top.  By the way, the Bruins three losses have all come in the form of one-run defeats at the hands teams ranked our Power 25.

St. Xavier (25-4) drops a spot to No.2 with recent shutout losses to Central Hardin and Lexington Catholic.

Lexington Catholic (24-6) sits in the No.3 spot having won 10 consecutive games and appear to be peaking at just the right time.

PRP (24-6) comes in at No.4 with impressive wins over Lone Oak and Male last week.

Woodford County (21-6) rounds out the top 5.

Other notes:

Paducah Tilghman (21-5) remains on a tear since entering the Power 25 a few weeks ago and now find themselves at No.16

Apollo (22-6) jumps to No.17 and will be a dangerous team come tournament time.

After entering the Power 25 last week, Southwestern (22-5) jumps to No.19.

Greenwood (22-8) makes an appearance for the first time this season at No.25
