Updated and Expanded Team Rankings



DIVISION I/II TEAM RANKINGS

With a week of games concluding, the team rankings have already experienced a shakeup. 

Strongsville (4-0) has jumped into the top position after impressive road wins against Vandalia Butler and Perrysburg. With an deep pitching staff and talented position players such as Forrest Peron (UC recruit), the Mustangs have displayed a roster with the talent to advance to Columbus. 

#2 Mason (4-2) is not far behind. Their first week of play including several convincing victories, such as their 13-1 victory over defending Division I State Champion Lakota East. In addition to their local play, they hit the road for spring break and faced some of the top teams from Tennessee. With junior's Andrew McDonald and TJ Zeuch as well as sophomore Chris Martin, Mason will be tough to beat.

#3 Defiance (4-0) continues to hold down the third spot in the rankings. The team is anchored by the state's top 1-2 combo in senior Anthony Kidston (Louisville recruit) and junior right-handed pitcher Robert Zeigler.

#4 Massillon Jackson (4-0) played one of the toughest schedules in their first week of play, but that didn't stop the Stark county squad from remaining undefeated. They collected victories against St. Edward's, St. Ignatius, Dublin Coffman, and Delaware Hayes.

#5 Centerville (4-0) remains undefeated. Despite Vandalia Butler taking much of the local headlines in the Dayton area, the Elks have displayed one of the state's deepest pitching staffs with senior Ryan Colegate (Ohio Dominican recruit), junior Nick Bertram, and junior Brian Mroz.

DIVISION III/IV TEAM RANKINGS

Keystone
(3-1) continues to hold down the top spot despite suffering a loss. With a pitching staff lead by Brandyn Sittinger (Marshall recruit) and Caleb Shillace (Toledo recruit), the squad is going to remain one of the toughest small schools in Ohio.

#2 Maderia (6-1) jumps eight spots. Lead by junior Andrew Benintendi (Arkansas recruit), the squad keeps finding ways to win games.

#3 CHCA (4-1) started collecting wins after arriving back from their mission trip to the Dominican Republic. The Cincinnati area school features a deep lineup with a blend of upper classmen, such as Ted Andrews (Furman recruit), and underclassmen, such as sophomore Kyle Davis.

#4 Carlisle (7-0) has already put together an impressive seven game winning streak. Senior Alex Leach (UNOH recruit) has spear headed the effort on the mound, in the field, and at the plate. At one point, he was 16 for 16 on the season.

#5 Defiance Tinora (5-0) continues to build upon their success from last season. Their week of play featured two victories over a talented Patrick Henry team.
