Updated and expanded Class of 2014 Rankings

By Sean Duncan

Throughout the spring and early summer, the Class of 2014 has come into sharper focus. The talent pool in this incoming junior class keeps getting deeper and deeper the more we see. Over the past three months, there have been some massive shakeups to the 2014 rankings.

Simeon OF/LHP Darius Day still is the No. 1-ranked prospect in the class, followed some familiar names: Springfield Sacred Heart-Griffin C Mitch Trees, Providence RHP Jake Godfrey, Lemont C Michael Papierski and St. Laurence RHP/INF Mike Kornacker.

Some players who shot up the ranks include: Lemont LHP Jake Latz, Grant C Simeon Lucas, Barrington RHP Wyatt Trautwine, Minooka RHP Mitch Vogrin, Nazareth SS Tim Dalporto, among many others.

In all, the Class of 2014 is looking like it has some impressive right-handed pitchers but light on left-handers. The class also appears to have several high level prospects, though a bit short in the middle infield (as it seems to be the case in many states).

Without further ado, a look at Top 75 prospects in the Class of 2014
