Today we are releasing our third update to the Virginia/DC Power 25. There have been some changes this week with most teams getting back in the swing of things from spring break, with the exception of eastern region teams.

St. John's remains at #1 after rolling off three more wins, including a shutout victory over #13 Gonzaga and a convincing, 11-3 win over #4 Independence. The Cadets have scored 161 runs during their seventeen game win streak and have only given up twenty one runs all season. They have thrown nine shutouts and only given up more than three runs twice all season.

Moving up to #2 in the rankings is still undefeated Mills Godwin. The Commonwealth Classic Champions won a 1-0 nail-biter on Friday versus a solid Deep Run team.

We have four teams moving in to the Power 25. Atlee moves in at #20, which is the highest spot for any newly ranked team. The Raiders won a big rivalry game on Friday night over Hanover and are coming off of a spring break championship at the Deep Run tournament. Western Branch has been hanging just outside the Power 25. Although they did lost their only game last week to North Broward Prep (FL), the Bruins are riding high after a big comeback win over Nansemond River and have won in convincing fashion in their other five victories so far this season. Halifax County checks in at #23. While the Comets have not faced any opposing Power 25 opponents, they have won the games they were supposed to, and done so in convincing fashion. Lastly, James Wood rounds out the Power 25 at #25. The Colonels have only lost two games, both to quality opponents. James Wood have beaten a few good opponents, splitting with Riverside, beating Broad Run, and most recently handing Millbrook their only loss of the season.
