A rain-shortened week of action brings us to week 10 of the VA/DC Power 25 and the conclusion of the public school regular season and nearly to the completion of the private school playoffs. After this rankings update, we will hold off on updating the rankings again until after the conclusion of the VHSL State Championships, three weeks from now.

The top nine remain the same, with No. 5 Benedictine staying put despite their upset loss to Norfolk Academy on the strength of the wins that they have collected throughout the season. The Cadets, along with the rest of the Top 5, have clearly separated themselves from the rest of the teams in Virginia and DC this spring, and so they will stay that way in the rankings for now.

Powhatan moves up to No. 10 as they continue to remain unbeaten against opponents from Virginia. The biggest riser this week was No. 17 Hickory, which won a tight game against Chesapeake rival No. 21 Great Bridge, and the Hawks enter the postseason hot.

Enough talk, lets look at the Power 25 for 5/21
