After about two weeks of the majority of private schools in VA/DC playing games, we have adjusted our Top 10 rankings. A new #1, one new school inside the top 10, and one team dropping out. Everything you need to know is below.

Top 10 Movement Breakdown:

The top four remain the same, with St. Christopher's again checking in at the top spot. The Saints tied Walsingham last week and swept a weekend doulbeheader over Cape Henry and Norfolk Academy.

Miller swept its week, including narrow wins over Highland and Trinity Episcopal. The Mavericks have a challenging week ahead with matchups against Highland, Greenbrier, and Atlantic Shores.

Highland dropped a pair of tight games to Greenbrier and Miller, but otherwise took care of business during the last two weeks, with another matchup against Miller coming this week.

Greenbrier jumps up to the fifth spot after having a strong couple of weeks. The Gators picked up a come from behind win over Highland and went 3-1 at the Mingo Bay Classic in Myrtle Beach.

Benedictine re-enters the rankings this week as they have started to get healthy and reel off some wins over the last two weeks, including a win over Miller and a doubleheader sweep of Archbishop Spalding (MD).

 

Dropping Out:

Nansemond-Suffolk dropped out after finally getting their season underway. The Saints have some challenging games ahead of them in the next two weeks and can easily work their way back into the rankings with a strong showing.
