Vianney overtakes the No. 1 ranking in the state, and a few new teams enter the rankings



With a thrilling victory over the No. 1 team entering last week, Lee's Summit West, in the championship of the Midwest Classic Tournament, Vianney overtook Lee's Summit West as the No. 1 team in the state. The Titans of Lee's Summit West moved down a spot, to the No. 2 slot, after a week in which they went 7-1.

Staying perfect at 4-0 and 5-0, Raymore-Peculiar and Notre Dame made the largest jumps in the rankings, with Ray-Pec moving up nine spots to No. 6 and Notre Dame jumping eleven spots to No. 7.

Entering the rankings this week are Poplar Bluff, who are off to a hot 5-1 start to the season. Defending Class Four champions Francis Howell also enters the rankings, posting a 8-2 overall record on the season. Purdy (5-1) and Waynesville (4-1) also enter the rankings for this week.
