Mother Nature decided that last week would not be a fun week in Virginia and the District, washing out numerous games all week. Because of that wet weather, very few teams got their games in, meaning there were minimal changes to the Power 25 this week.

The Top 9 spots remain the same, with Greenbrier Christian holding the top spot for the second straight week, and third overall this spring. Hickory remains at No. 7 after playing Indian River to a 0-0 tie through ten innings on a Tuesday night. Jefferson Forest entered the Top Ten for the first time as the Cavaliers continue to roll through the Seminole District, setting them on a collision course with No. 3 Liberty Christian in the Conference 23 Tournament.

Postseason play began for the private schools that were able to get games in over the weekend, as both No. 8 St. John's College and No. 11 Bishop O'Connell escaped their first round WCAC games with a pair of one run victories on Saturday to advance to the best of three semifinals. If they both advance that would set up a championship series between them this weekend.

Potomac Falls was the other team in the rankings to slide a bit, losing an extra inning game to Conference 14 rival and defending 5A State Champions Stone Bridge. The Conference 14 tournament should be a fun one, with four really good teams in No. 14 Briar Woods, No. 20 Potomac Falls, Stone Bridge, and Tuscarora.

There are no new teams to the rankings this week, but a few more have been added to the group receiving consideration. Collegiate School has been on a tear of late, winning its last seven games. Menchville and Woodside are also off to very good starts and figure to be factors deep in the postseason.
